I went into Toxic Commando as a long‑time Left 4 Dead fan, and this game isn’t even in the same universe. It’s not Back 4 Blood bad, but it’s still unpolished, hard to see, hard to enjoy, and overall a waste of time. There are some good ideas here like skills, vehicles, repairs, etc. but they get buried under how wide open and bland the maps are. L4D had open areas too, but the real fun came from tight, focused encounters in buildings. I played two missions and both felt like the exact same giant empty field. It gets old fast, and half the time it’s hard to tell what’s even happening. The missions drag on forever, whether you succeed or fail. They’re so slow they literally started putting me to sleep. This is one of the lowest quality games (performance wise) I’ve played on the PS5, and somehow it still has long loading times. In 2026, that’s unacceptable. The only positive thing I can say is the price. But even then, your time is worth more. If you like L4D, avoid this. If you like fun, avoid this. If you value your time at all, stay far away. The game desperately needs an overhaul, and maybe a future patch can save it, but right now it’s a huge disappointment. I was going to give it two stars, but writing this review reminded me just how incompetent the experience felt. So it’s one star. I want my time back. ... show more

If you're a fan of World War Z, this is the game for you! I'm only a few hours into it at this point, but this game has all the hallmarks of an instant hit. Run and gun through sparling levels packed with supernatural baddies. The inclusion of vehicles is a really cool touch! Definitely varies things up in a fun way. And 4-player squads make teamwork and coordination a must. Graphically, the game looks awesome. The soundtrack really stands out though, with a traditional John Carpenter sound. Overall, it's massively fun and equal parts terrifying. Very fun with huge replay value. Highly recommended! ... show more

This was a no brainer buy! John Carpenter with gameplay of left 4 dead and $40 instant buy! If you love games like left 4 dead and back 4 blood this improves on back 4 blood by 10x and free updates stay interactive makes amazing games and always updates their titles. I give this an10/10
