Sadly i listened to some reviews which said this ran small. IT DOES NOT RUN SMALL. My hubby is consistently XL (he’s tall and athletically built). Got him the XXL and it could literally fit TWO of him. Just reordered it in his normal XL but wonder if even that will be too big.     • Feedback After 2 Months' Wear & Laundering - Best Quality/Value in Hawaiian-Like Shirt
I'm writing this review in November 2019. Here is my feedback after about 2 months... I shopped extensively on Amazon for an attractive Hawaiian-like shirt for my (size XL, retired attorney) husband's birthday in September 2019. I was looking for a shirt he could wear at the beach, lounging at home, to the hardware store, or out to casual dinner - to go along with khakis, linen pants, jeans or shorts. That's a tall order, and this shirt won the purchase for combination of material quality and low price. And it fits him extremely well - right length, comfortable armholes, neck and chest circumference. He loves it, and it looks really great on him. His salt and pepper hair and beard complement the colors and pattern of the shirt (or vice-versa, really.) Lots of compliments every time he wears it. We've laundered it several times already - and it machine washes and dries beautifully. No special laundering needed. For best results, as with most clothing, pull it out of the dryer immediately after dryer stops - you will have no wrinkles. Three thumbs up all the way around on this purchase! If you're contemplating, I highly recommend - go ahead and buy. PS - This is a completely independent, objective and honest review. ... show more

Love the shirt. Feels like a lite weight thin beach shirt, as it should. It’s a little bit short in length but I’m 6’3” 190lbs so most shirts are shorter on me. I am going to have to avoid drying it so it doesn’t get any smaller. UPDATE: it got dried in the dryer and shrunk a little bit. Still fits ok. UPDATE 1 year later: I’ve ordered 5 more of these shirts in different patterns. Still going strong. I’ve stuck with ordering LARGE and just hang dry the shirts. The shrunk-L I have fits, but it looks slim/tight. I’m not trying to be THAT guy. ... show more

I ordered this shirt to channel my inner Aaron Barrett and I'm really happy with it. I'm 5'9, 160 pounds and usually wear a size small shirt but read some other reviews about this shirt running small. I ended up going with a medium and it fits well without it being too baggy. These definitely run smaller than typical American sizes! Also shorter length, so if you are tall, its going to be short... I expect Hawaiian style shirts to be a bit bigger just by nature of the type of shirt... Not the case here! Buyer beware!!

This shirt is outstanding! I only bought this shirt for a beach vacation and I am very pleased. The quality is amazing and it is extremely comfortable. I first purchased the XL and it was too big for me. The Large fits perfect! I am 5”11 and about 192lbs.

    • Thin; Bunches behind the collar
I didn't have a problem with the size of the shirt. It fits as I would expect for what I ordered. It is a 'tall' shirt as well (I mention this because I've seen other reviews that say it's too small for the size and not tall at all). I find the shirt to be a bit thin for my taste. You'll need to wear an undershirt if you're planning on wearing this anywhere but the beach. I can handle thin shirts, depending on how they come out of the wash. I have thin shirts that crinkle and fold in odd directions around the collar and down the button line after they're washed... which obviously you'll have to iron out, but it's more so than other shirts... and those are the shirts I get rid of. I have yet to put this one through the wash test to see how wrinkled it comes out, so I'm not going to nix it just yet, although the thin material does have me concerned. What I really dislike about this shirt is how the back of the shirt 'bunches up' and folds up right behind the back of the collar. If you pull the back of the shirt down, this problem is fixed... but now the back of the collar is no longer against the back of your neck. If you pull the shirt forward, so it sits comfortably on your shoulders, the material bunches up in the back next to the collar. ... show more
