  • REFINED LINSEED OIL: Extracted solely from flax seeds, this highly refined oil is an essential medium for contemporary oil painters. Exceptionally pure and light, this paint thinner medium can be used moderately to thin oil paints, improving their flow and workability for smooth, rich brushstrokes. It also serves as a component in traditional oil painting mediums or can be mulled with pigments for custom colors.
  • RADIANT COLORS: Our linseed oil for painting enhances the shine and luminosity of oil paints while improving color adhesion to the canvas. It ensures a uniformly tough, elastic, and glossy film that is water-repellent, weather-resistant, reduces chalking, and extends paint film longevity. It excels as an extender and fortifier for oil-based stains and primers.
  • ENHANCES GLOSS: Doubly refined to eliminate wax impurities, this oil paints linseed oil produces a very clear liquid that does not interact with or alter paint hues. It increases the flexibility of oil colors, reduces viscosity, extends drying time, and significantly boosts the gloss finish of oil paintings.
  • COMPLETE CONFIDENCE: This linseed oil imparts long-lasting shine and excellent quality to oil colors. We stand behind our products with efficient service, ready to address any concerns.
  • PRACTICAL PROPERTIES: Containing favorable ratios of linolenic and linoleic acids for oil painters, linseed oil offers key benefits. While linolenic acid contributes to yellowing, it also forms a durable paint film. Oils rich in linoleic acid consequently produce robust films.

  • Good product with good price.
Needed linseed oil for painting. This product fit the bill. Good product for the price. Can’t tell the difference between this product and the other name brands that are much more expensive.

  • No strong smells
Perfect for oil paint. Smoothes oil paint nicely. I'm glad I starting using this. A little goes a long ways. Great price also. The smell is not strong at all.

  • High quality oil for painting or woodworking
I gave this product 5 out of 5 stars because it performed beautifully for my purpose — sealing a butcher block table. While the description focuses on using it as an additive for acrylic or oil paints, I used it as a natural wood finish, and it worked perfectly. Linseed oil is an excellent choice for finishing butcher blocks or other food-prep surfaces because it’s made from flax seeds, making it a natural and food-safe option once fully cured. It penetrates deeply into the wood, enhancing the grain and creating a smooth, slightly glossy finish that protects the surface from moisture and everyday wear. It also leaves the wood feeling conditioned rather than coated, and it doesn't have a discernible smell. I've used linseed oil before to seal a table, and from experience. I know that because it is so durable, it's something that only needs to be done a couple of times a year if that. The oil itself is very pure and light, and it applied easily without leaving any sticky residue. After a few coats and proper curing time, my butcher block now looks richer, smoother, and well protected. Overall, this linseed oil is a great value for the price... It's a pretty large bottle and will last a long time! ... show more

  • Great Value Linseed Oil for Beginners
Just a note—I’m new to oil painting but have worked with other mediums for a while. This linseed oil worked great for me, and you get a lot for the price ($21.99 at the time of this review), making it a solid value considering the large bottle size. It thins paint well, keeps it wet longer, and feels slightly more viscous than some other brands I’ve tried. Cleanup was easy—I don’t use turpentine, just mineral spirits followed by Dawn dish soap, and this oil cleaned up with no issues. I’ve read that linseed oil can yellow over time, which is why some artists prefer walnut oil, but for now this performs exactly as it should. Only time will tell how it holds up, but I’d recommend it as a reliable, student-grade option for anyone learning oil painting. ... show more

  • Good Quality Linseed Oil for Oil Painting
This is a very nice refined linseed oil. It mixes smoothly with my oil paints and helps them flow better on the canvas without changing the color. The finish it leaves has a nice glossy look, and the paint feels more workable for longer which is great for blending. It comes in a generous 550ml bottle, so it should last quite a while. I also like that it doesn’t have a strong smell compared to some cheaper linseed oils I’ve tried. Overall, good quality oil that does exactly what you need for oil painting. ... show more

  • Well packaged
My biggest concern with ordering liquids online is the the risk of the packaging opening up, but this was shipped well and arrived intact. Low price for quality linseed oil. 18oz will last me a very long time. If you're ordering this, you probably already know where and when it's useful. This is a good quality product, especially for the money. ... show more
