I rarely do reviews unless I’m benefiting from it lol, but this deserves it. I’ve tried several gel polishes, they ALWAYS chip and lift within 1 to 2 days, I just redo it since I have everything to do so. I’ve tried Morovan, sally Hansen, one from target, and one other brand, same issue. Not these, this is my 5th day, no budging! I cook and clean mostly everyday so I always thought that’s why they lift so fast, but this brand has proven that’s not the case. This is with their matte top coat. I purchased this after getting tired of spending $50+ to get my nails done. I can't do my own acrylics yet (photos are of salon acrylic and base gray coat) but I added the flower decals with the base coat from this kit and added the glitter top coat to my other nails from this kit. I LOVE IT! The uv lamp is a BIT small but it dries just as well as the lamps I've experienced at the nail salons. I also used the dark blue and teal colors on my daughter, along with the glitter top coat and the matte top coat. The matte top coat is super cool and I want to use that soon. The bottles of polish are pretty small BUT you get a ton of colors so you won't run out to quickly. This is a great kit for teens who want to start doing their own nails as well as adults who want to do a quick, easy, fast drying manicure at home. I'll still be going to the salon to get my acrylics done but I'll probably start asking for a clear base coat so I can play with the colors and lamp at home. ... show more

I got this so I can save some mi he and start doing my nails at home. The lamp works great and I love all the little extras you get with this. The color of the polishes are perfect and I even like how they provide you with different options for a top coat (shiny, matte, glitter). I do have to say, at least for me who has weak brittle nails, my nails were not hard like they normally are after getting a gel manicure. I found that my nails were still breaking even with the polish on. I am thinking that maybe the polish is not as strong as ones in the nail salon. On a positive note, the polish did not chip right away and last around 2 weeks or so. If you already have great strong nails this product will most likely be okay for you. If your nails are weak, you will probably need to buy stronger polish to help keep your nails from breaking. ... show more

I was really nervous this would not last as long as salon gel but mine is lasting much longer! As long as you prep correctly this lasts at least 3 weeks. I had no signs of wear at the 3 week mark just couldn’t wait any longer to try a new color. The light works great, the polish gets opaque in 2-3 coats for even the lightest colors. The top and base coat are great. They even stay on with swimming everyday and working as a housekeeper with my hands wet in gloves for hours. So I have been going to the nail salon for years spending over $100 for a basic gel mani and pedi on short nails. No fill-ins, no gel powder, just gel polish. I decided to buy a diy kit because the manicure usually doesn’t last for more than a week or so. Although I had this kit I had plans to go back to the salon because I was afraid the kit wouldn’t work. Today I made the decision to give the kit a try and I’m so glad I did. It was very easy to use. Lots of colors to choose from and if I don’t like it or the color starts peeling I can always do it over with another color free of charge. It came with all I needed to get the job done. Nice kit. I was able to try colors I would normally not use. The polish stood up well for over 1 week then started lifting near the cuticle. The kit I bought did not come with bottles of primer or dehydrator ( I found some in their store) I am a nurse, so LOTS of handwashing and alcohol hand gel. Was pleasantly surprised at how long the gel lasted with me working full time. There is that familiar "burn" when the polish adheres to the nail that I get with 90% of gel polish, but it is less than most. Your nails do take damage if you do not remove the gel with nail polish remover, but once they started lifting it was "gotta peel it off right now". I have not been able to find my favorite colors in singular bigger bottles in the brand, just "Kits of colors". The smallest I could find was 20 colors, so that's why I only gave it 4 stars. ... show more

To preface, I’m one of those people who absolutely can’t paint my nails without getting polish on my skin. So I was a little worried that I wouldn’t be able to give myself a good manicure. The picture of the purple polish was my first attempt. It looks decent, but it’s obvious that my skills are amateur at best. The two most important things are: prep your nails (cuticles, buff, and clean with alcohol) and GO SLOW!! I do one hand at a time, start to finish. I use a makeup brush with acetone to clean up the edges after EACH coat. Overall, I’d say I’ve gotten better and feel confident enough in my work! The product itself is great. I only get about 10 days out of it, but I wash my hands a million times a day. I made sure to get the lamp that shows the countdown clock. The polish is good. Bottles are small, but I think enough to get 2 manicures out of each color. I definitely think this was a great investment for me, and I would recommend. 10/10 ... show more
