As pointed out by NickC, be careful turning to portrait that the tab(let) does not slip out. if it is firm its fine recommended. Holds the Fire 10 HD very well, whether it is in the Amazon case or not, in landscape orientation (grips top and bottom of the device.) If you turn it portrait (vertically), be sure it is secure in the grips. For some situations (vertical pictures or reading/game materials that will only display vertically) be careful the grips on the sides are secure; they are not under spring tension. ... show more

Very well made and easy to use, but like most grips, it does not extend over tablets with cases very well. I wish most grip mfg would make a grip to use while also using a protective case. Otherwise a very nice grip mount.
