abunda_amazon_reviews installed fairly easy. be advised that you have to remove your spare tire from the spare tire mount. the locking rings that attach the back side of license plate frame to spare tire carrier mount went on easily. after that, the wiring was done. I chose to keep my 3rd brake light, so i wired my own pos/neg. be advised, the license plate light had the wires crossed. i had to connect my 12v positive to the black wire and connect my ground to the white wire on the license plate light. not a huge deal but still kind of frustrating for the 10 minutes that i could not get it to work properly running my positive to the white and my negative to the ground. other than that hiccup, all is well. good deal, great product.;;Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2019;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Read this review if your license plate light is not working.;;Daniel J. Flores;;;I purchased this for use on my 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ Rubicon. The included instructions only cover Jeep Wrangler JKs and JKUs. I did a couple of my own modifications to make it fit my TJ. I installed this on the stock Jeep Wrangler TJ tire carrier FYI. First, I had to drill a hole in the center of the stock tire carrier between all the studs to hold the spare tire. I drilled this hole to run the wires for the light through (no picture, I'm sorry) Second, I connected the ground wire to one of the stock screws on the tire carrier. Third, I removed the bottom tailgate hinge cover and drilled a hole in the top right corner but where the plastic cover would still cover it up. I drilled this for the power wire. Fourth, I connect the power wire to my tail light's power wire (so when I turn my running lights or all of my lights on, the license plate light would turn on). Fifth, I re-installed the tailgate hinge cover and zip tied the power wire in a couple places to keep it as hidden as possible. Sixth, I re-installed the spare tire on the carrier and made sure everything worked! The directions do help somewhat still even if you aren't installing it on a JK or JKU. See my pictures for the finished product. (Ignore the misplaced rings from my ORO tail lights, my iPhone camera always does this in pictures.) Also, the only downside to this product is the light is super bright so it shines a lot on the ground, but at the same time it also lights up the license plate perfectly. Fantastic product, with a somewhat simple install. The entire project only took about two hours, but that is mainly time spent figuring out how I was going to do this and keep the wires hidden.;;Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2016;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Fantastic Product;;Dalton B.;;;After installing this unit and running all the wires and removing the old license plate from my jeep, the LED lasted for about 4 hours.
