Description

Falcon Series 3. 3 Fast Adjust Piggyback Shocks Falcon Series 3. 3 Fast Adjust Piggyback Shocks offer a wide range of adjustability with their easy to use three-position Fast Adjust Knob. Settings include soft, medium, and firm. The middle setting incorporates an eight-position Micro Adjust Dial for more precise tuning between soft and firm. Volume Optimized Damping Falcon’s proprietary Volume Optimized Damping (VOD) features a digressive linear valve to improve vehicle feedback, stability, and control during low-speed, high- speed, and off-road driving. As the piston compresses and rebounds, the valve restricts oil flow creating a damping effect. VOD’s quicker ramp up increases damping volume during low-speed driving as well as reduces shock bottoming at full compression during faster speeds or over uneven terrain. Traditional velocity sensitive shock absorbers react quickly during low-speed driving causing excessive “head toss” on rough terrain – or even driveways. Conventional damping then firms up during faster shaft speeds resulting in a jarring ride. With Volume Optimized Damping, stability and control are maintained throughout all driving conditions. Falcon History: Historically, universal shock absorbers and steering stabilizers have been adapted to fit many applications with minimal tuning. Falcon Performance Shocks rewrites the book on damper development. These new shock absorbers and steering stabilizers are engineered to meet the unique requirements of the Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited. These Jeep-specific shock absorbers deliver increased stability, improved ride quality, and comfort for daily driven vehicles as well as race- inspired performance, handling, and stability for off-road rigs. Built from the ground up with a focus on fitment and function, Falcon’s corner-specific Series 3 Piggyback and Series 2 Monotube shock absorbers and Wrangler-specific Nexus EF 2 steering stabilizers deliver the best damping characteristics possible. After a lengthy and painstaking development process, we have delivered these advanced dampers to the awaiting Jeep market. • Top Quality
Ok so I waited many years to finally buy these and I only wish I had done so sooner. These replaced my Bilsten 5100 on my 2014 jk rubicon unlimited. Just put them on so still testing the settings but so far 3 feels like the Bilstens and I’m trying the 2.4 right now. Love the adjustments and the build quality of these shocks. Install was an easy took me 3 hours while on a zoom call :). I’m running a 2.5 AEV lift and they feel great. Will update later after I haven more time with them. ... show more

  • Teraflex Falcon shocks nightmare
Teraflex Falcon shocks nightmare Before you buy Falcon shocks read this… I made the mistake of buying the Falcon Series 3.3 Fast adjust piggyback shocks. These shocks retail for $1,797.99 for a set of 4. Generally, the ride with these shocks has been terrible and stiff. I assumed something must be wrong because these shocks have 3-positions “Fast Adjust Knob. Settings include Soft, Custom, and Firm and features an 8-Position Dial for more precise tuning.” On my JKU, No matter the adjustment I made, the ride was always the same - bumpy and terrible. So I contacted the customer support at Teraflex (Falcon) because I assumed something must be wrong. The Falcon customer service representative first told me, it is your tires. They are too stiff. I told him I have run BFGs on two different JKUs (including this one) and never had a problem with such a terrible ride. (These BFG tires came off of a 2021 Wrangler and I drove on them prior to the Falcon install. They drove great.) I told him I drove the JKU to the gas station on the first setting and back on the 3rd setting and purposely hit several bumps along the way. I could not tell the difference in ride. The Falcon representative told me that was unusual and that I should be able to tell the difference in ride. He told me the best solution would be to ship the shocks back to Teraflex (Falcon) for inspection at my own cost. I spent the $80 to send the shocks to Teraflex (Falcon) for inspection and this is what they told me after inspection (this is a direct quote from the customer service email sent to me from Teraflex, “we inspected and tested the shocks and they performed as normal. from my understanding the different adjustments will not be noticeable unless they hit something like a speed bump or are making very aggressive turns.” First, they could have told me that before I sent the shocks back to them! SECOND how or why do you advertise $1,700 shocks with 3 adjustments that “will not be noticeable?” To add insult to injury, he then asked if I wanted him to send the shocks back to me. Really, you want to keep my $1,800 and the shocks!?! Lesson learned hopefully this will save you some money and headache. ... show more

  • Night and day difference in handling
More difficult to install the rear shocks as you must drill a hole in the mounting bracket but well worth the trouble These things have totally changed the handling of my 2007 JKU and I had Ranchos on it before which were great Offroad but were terrible on road.... waaay to spongy Now I can change the firmness for both inroad and Offroad conditions! Excellent product so far! ... show more
