Camera straps are finicky little buggers ... and this hand strap is more finicky than most. I spent about 15 minutes adjusting the various parts to the point where the strap feels comfortable against the back of my right hand. Plentiful light, nimble fingers, and quite a bit of patience are needed when assembling/adjusting. I really like the built-in Arca-Swiss plate, which lets you easily and securely mount the camera on a tripod/ballhead. The double security feature that is the wrist strap (separate from the hand strap) can be securely snapped onto the main part of the grip, and removed in a second if it bothers you. The leather is decently soft. I'm using this with my backup Nikon D750. My main 750s are equipped with plates and pins for a double Spider Holster, but the JJC grip is pretty convenient for a camera that I'll need to grab only rarely. I much prefer the Spider system for carrying cameras, but for a "fallback cam" the JJC grip is perfect. (Sure beats a regular neckstrap that gets hooked around objects when you pick up the camera, and that may drag / drop them to the floor in a moment of inattention). 10/10 would buy again. ... show more

This strap is excellent for the price. It has a nice soft feel to it, the snaps are nice and tight and I don’t worry one second about it unsnapping. I was pleasantly surprised with how good the stitching looked and being in blue adds a nice little style to it. It does take a few minutes to make the adjustments to get it set up right for your hand. My feeling is that the people who want to complain about this are simply looking for something to complain about. Of course it’s going to take a few adjustments to fit your hand the way you want it. Every hand is different and the way everyone wants it to fit will be different. The company can’t send the product to everyone and it fit like a glove to everyone’s hand. Take the few minutes to make it fit, you’ll be happy you spent the time doing so. Bottom line is there’s nothing big to complain about and it’s a great product and added addition to my setup ... show more

This worked well on my Canon 60D, but was too bulky for my smaller Sony A73 and I found it placed my hand awkwardly. For the most part it was comfortable, but I might have preferred a more breathable fabric. If you’re shooting in warm weather, prepare for back of the hand sweat. Also, if you have very small, petite hands, this may not be for you. I wear women’s Large in gloves and had it as tight as I could make it. Persons with smaller hands will not feel as supported. The plate in the bottom is a good idea, but I found it would often come unscrewed at times and I’d have to retighten. Overall, the build quality seemed great and would be nice for bulkier SLRs and persons with medium to large hands. ... show more

Very easy to use. I use it for my Kodak PIXPRO az528. I recommend if you don’t like cameras around your neck. It’s comfortable and adjustable. Only thing is I wish I could mount it to a tripod without having to unscrew it on the bottom. this hand strap is about as good as the major competitor and a lot less expensive. The fact is that when compared to the"other" brand, this actually is far better on my Nikon Z7 than the competitor. I have used the competitor brand on my Nikon D500 and D750 with and without battery grips and L brackets--they were fine. I tried to use them on my Z7 and Z6 both of which have L brackets--the other brand really does not fit correctly. This handstrap, works well--BUT only if you remove the cumbersome attachment bracket and rather just attach the bottom strap to the bar on the L bracket. It is comfortable on your hand and keeps your hand stable while shooting. However, the hardest thing about it was adjusting the upper strap position. It is a short strap and was difficult to adjust while attached to the camera, not a lot of room to work on it. Once adjusted it is fine.

I’ve been looking for a wrist strap for a while and finally pulled the trigger on this one. I’m so glad I did. The base plate is my favorite feature. At first it looked like I would have to remove it to put it on my tripod as the plate doesn’t have a hole for a tripod mount. However I discovered that plate fits into my Geekoto tripod perfectly.
