When I bought these curtains the one thing I was worried about was being able to see through them. They are very light weight and to my surprise you are not able to see through them. You might see a shadow but nothing seen is definitive. You can only make out bright lights. The color is fantastic and goes with most anything. The stitching is very well done and the loop grommets are very secured. The one bad thing I saw was they did come at slightly different lengths. I was able to put them in a way where it doesn't show. During the daytime light filters in and you can somewhat see out but from outside you can't see in. All in all I really love the soft touch they give the room and I am very happy with them. ... show more

I didn't need total block out but 3 other curtains I bought that claimed privacy were sheer. You could see inside the house well at night. These with the material backing do not let you see inside the house at night. They are perfect. I picked this color CRUDE and am happy with it. It is light but with small streaks of darker color in the threads. I tried another brand in camel and it looked too much like a potato sack and was see-through. These are light but block light without being a thick stiff plastic-feeling curtain. They are a material blend so they can be washed at home. These are JinChan brand that I have purchased in other styles for my home. They have a lovely drape from the grommet hanging point. They are NOT sheers, but they are not light-blocking. They offer some privacy with light-filtering. They are not grey, but they are not white, they are more of a slightly tweedy cream. This brand has been excellent for me, this pair is no exception. Excellent price for a PAIR of panels in the 95" length, and this quality. They arrived quickly. They have maintained their drape and colorfastness on a south-facing window for months.
