Tarnished within 6 months. It is a thin layer of 14K gold bonded onto a type of metal. Therefore, once the top 14k layer wears off, you're left with dark metal. Lesson learned. Save your money and invest in a solid 14K gold piece of jewelry. This is not worth it in the long run.

This is the second Gold chain I have purchased as a gift on Amazon and I feel great about not being ripped off at a mall kiosk! Great price and great quality! Always pay attention to the measurements because the picture could possibly make it appear thicker or longer. The clasp is lobster style and hasn’t had any issues. The only thing that did fool me the first time is that I put “Solid Gold” in the search and did believe I was getting Solid Gold but later realized it’s “Solid Gold filled” which is not the same .
