Are these surgical grade? Nope. So if you want that, pay more. This comes oiled. These are hobby blades and doubt you'll ever use them all as a casual hobbiest. They fit nicely, and honestly, hate when the blade changes angles as they are used...which will still happen regardless on how hard you bear down during use, this movement is based on the neck width of the blade that you clamp down on...these seem to be less prone as the blade neck widths are closer to the handle insert width... The sharpness does not last long, but the quantity of blades you get should make this a non-issue. If I ever need more, I will buy more of these...great price!!!

I got this industrial size of replacement blades for my knife handle mainly to replace them because of me cutting a lot of paper and the occasional vinyl for projects. What little I've used the blades, they do seem to hold their edge well with the use of a self healing mat. I do not know how well they will do with constant use with a hard surface backer like wood for example. They fit the xacto handle I use very well and they are very sharp as one would expect. It will be a moment before I will need more replacement blades. I will consider purchasing this brand of blades again.
