  • A nifty way to cut a perfect circle.
Style: Paper Cutter & Refill Blades
It really works. It completely cuts through the paper, no tearing or fuzzing.

  • Crafters Helper
Style: Paper Cutter & Refill Blades
Initially needed something to cut out 2" circles for a project, but ended up with this so I could cut out different sizes if needed. I wasn't totally sure how to use the product and didn't find the directions that came with the product overly helpful, however that's where YouTube comes in handy. After testing the product out ended up loving the cutter, and use it a lot more then anticipated. Only drawl back is you need to be careful what kind of surface you are cutting on because it will cut into the surface. So recommend a cutting mat or just a basic piece of cardboard (recycle the Amazon box and use that for a cutting surface) ... show more

  • Works better than some other cutters but could improve
Style: Paper Cutter & Refill Blades
This cutter offers flexibility of allowing for the circle size to be set exactly where you need, an advantage over the fixed-size circle punches. There was only one circle punch in the size I needed (2.25") and the machining of the cutting surface was so poor that I couldn't get one that actually punched properly. This was the only reasonably priced option that I could find that would let me cut a 2.25" circle. My use case is in cutting out circular filters for my espresso portafilter (a 58mm standard size) from Hario V60 filters. I can get two cuts per Hario filter, and each cut gets 2 filters as it's 2 sheets thick, so 4 espresso filters per Hario filter. I also found it helpful to get a craft cutting board as I had nothing else around to cut on -- counters are a bad idea, and boards will dull the blade. It did take me a number of wasted filters to finally figure this out, and what I found is that I get the best cuts when I don't press the center TOO hard, just enough to hold firm, and then don't press down too hard on the cutting blade. Gently rotate, very slightly press, and maybe go a few times around. Pressing ANY part too firmly causes it to bunch the paper up and it ruins the whole thing. I also found that it actually does a BETTER job and cuts more evenly when going for 2 or 3 filters at a time (Hario filters, that is) rather than just one, for some reason. My complaints are that it can be very hard to judge exactly where to place it. You can see where the blade is going to be on one side but where it reaches on the other side isn't always easy to assess. It can also be really hard to rotate the blade part properly AND put just a bit of pressure on the blade to make it cut all the while holding down the center with the right amount of pressure (goldilocks, not too much or too little). I can't really see through to what's going on, and I can't really see through to decide whether it's cut enough to stop and remove it. Once you've moved it at all, you're done. You are not going to get it back in place to try again if you missed a spot. For the money I don't know of a better option, but it seems like some things might be able to improve even with this fairly cheap product. Still, it might be your best or only option without spending a fortune. It's workable for those of you who are also trying not to spend a fortune on precut espresso paper filters. ... show more

  • Blade snagged
Style: Paper Cutter & Refill Blades
It was kinda confusing to use! I couldn’t figure out the sizing. Just did trial and error. Worked for what I needed it for. Haven’t used it since.

  • Poor Results
Style: Paper Cutter & Refill Blades
This circles that this thing cuts are often uneven, jagged/frayed edged, not cut all the way through, and that's after spinning the blade around 4-5 times per circle. SOOOOO much effort is required for one circle. It's only slightly faster that using a stencil and a pair of scissors, with mediocre results. I bought this thinking it would be a versatile, space and money saving tool that would prevent me from buying a bunch of circle punches. Now I'm stuck with a tool that only kind of works. I think Fiskar needs to go back to the drawing board on this idea. ... show more

  • Falls short on full cut
Style: Paper Cutter & Refill Blades
This review is based on the Fiskars cutter that I received 2.17.24 (maybe there was a production flaw with it) Saw this product and was super happy, great this will help me with the 400+ circles of all sizes I need. Brought this for a major project, picked this one because of the maker Fiskars and the reviews; I have to say I am extremely disappointed, as it being a Fiskars product I truly expected great performance and quality unfortunately I got poor to mediocre performance and low grade quality. Performance - 1. The blade tended to skip areas of the paper/cardstock, I had to repeatly go over the area a 3- 5 times to get it to cut and still sometimes it wouldn't cut which left me to hand cut (via scissors or exacto knife) the circle. 2. I didn't find that it gave good precise cuts as I was sitting using the cutter so I stood up while using to have more control/balance...same cutting (or should I say semi-cutting) results, I had to hand cutout the parts that were skipped over; basically I wound up doing double work. 3. The "stopper" needle was an issue for 2 reasons A). The indent from the center needle didn't give my project a good look. B). Maneuvering the base while holding the button down was as issue at most times (as I turned it under my hand, I would have to shift my hand slightly therefore releasing the button) the needle would shift causing the circle to be slightly off. 4. The measurements indicator arrow is hard to as it is clear, I suggest the company either make the arrow indicator a different color or place it somewhere different. Quality- 1. The blade is EXTREMELY short and doesn't last long (I attempted 120 circles on 176gsm cardstock, (after the 42 good ones and 18 not so good and 10 I couldn't save/use I stopped), the blade dulled out (I now understand why it comes with 2 extra blades); A LOT of cardstock was wasted. 2. I tried cutting out circles using cereal boxes opposed to cardstock, I did get a little better cut but had to go over the circle 2 times for it to come out. All in all this cutter didn't live up to the expectations I had, I was doing double to triple work, i.e. cutting out the areas that were skipped over or missed entirely and/or painting the cardboard circles the color I needed them (that was less time consuming than trying to cutout the cardstock). If your a person with hand dexterity issues this cutter will have you work harder not easier. Between the continuous circling with the cutter and fussy cutting out the faux pas my fingers, hand/forearm was tired. Returning for refund. ... show more
