The back plastic is a bit slick, but I put a phone holder mount on the magsafe backing so I don't notice it much anymore. The case is raised a bit above the camera and front of the screen, so it should keep the glass off of hard surfaces. Drop protection?? The magnets in the magsafe back feel plenty strong. I've tried many many many many many many cases. I am absolutely 100% positive this is the best case I ever bought. The quality, the 2 secs to put it on, the protection for the screen (a perfect height off to prevent cracks), and NOW I can use all the cool magnet accessories, chargers, etc.! It fits my pixel 8 pro like a glove! Giving the camera area much needed extra protection and works well with the aftermarket screen protector I'm using. The magnet works great with the aftermarket wallet I found as well! It allows me to remove the case easily and place my phone in either my cars wireless charging station or on the magnetic wireless charger at home. Making my phone a very functional piece of equipment! The case is low maintenance as it does not show fingerprints on its soft matte exterior. This case is a great color, and its cheap, but it is super slippery. I might return it, I bought it as a backup while waiting for my replacement case to come from another brand. It matches my moonstone phone, but I picked it up off the table one morning and it flew out of my hand, lucky I caught it before it hit the floor. Magnet is great for pixelsnap and the phone holder in the car though. I wouldn't put the phone down on a slanted surface or anywhere it could slip and if you are clumsy you will have this case sliding right out of your hands. ... show more

This case is solid. It has lips in all the right places for added protection without getting in the way. I really like the button covers. It has a soft feal all around, and slides into and out of my pocket easily. This also means that it will slide on surfaces if that matters to you. Pros: The protection of the case appears to be solid. It fits well and all the cutouts align properly. The raised protection for the camera module on the back that covers around the flash and temperature sensor seems like it would offer more protection than some cases that only have a rim around the whole module leaving the glass totally open. The case is also nice and thin making it fit nicely in my pocket. The magnets built into the case work very well to attach to the car mount I got. Cons: the matte frosted texture of the back plastic is very slippery in my hand which makes it feel less stable when using one handed. The magnetic ring of this case appears to be too strong because after only a couple of times sticking my phone to the mount the back of the case started to crack (See the picture attached). I have not dropped the phone or anything, and when I put the phone over the mount it attached very strongly and I heard a cracking sound.
