From the Manufacturer The JET JDP-17MF floor model drill press will be a great addition to the shop. It comes wit a 5/8-inch drill chuck and a powerful 3/4-horsepower, 115-volt motor that can also run on 230-volt. 16 spindle speeds range from 200 up to 3,630 rpm. A heavy duty switch is mounted on the front of the press and a light socket is supplied in the drill head so you can see what you are doing in a dark corner of the shop (bulb not included, sorry). Another big feature is the positive depth stop that you can set so you will be consistent in drilling depth. A heavy round table with several slots will let you position your vise or jigs where you need them. The table will also swivel and can be raised or lowered. The spindle is an MT-2 so you can use MT-2 tapered bits.
