I purchased 3 of these in red for my son to wear to work. I ordered the XL as that is what he normally wears. They fit great and have enough length for him to be able to tuck the shirt in. I would describe the material as being a medium to heavier weight T-shirt type. Not super soft but not at all stiff. For work, casual wear they are great.
