I have proof that growbags are the only way to fill a garden with happy, healthy vegetables. I planted the same identical seed in hard container and they were yellow, stunted and finally gave up. The growbag seeds went wild and grew so fast and big. I am a believer. Started getting wilted foilage alot as summer progressed and learned that water evaporates very fast from bags requiring almost daily flooding to stay up with plant growth and fruiting. I had to move tomato plants and eggplants around in the garden area and you could hear a dreaded rip and resistance each time which meant that I was tearing roots off the bottom of the growbag. All plants went into immediate stress and I thought I would lose all of them. MOBILE....not so much when they sit long enough and try to root through the bottom of the bag. WATERING AND MOBILITY are a challenge. Otherwise, they are all I will ever use in my garden or greenhouse.

Having never used grow bags before I bought some 10 gallon bags from Jeria, on a recommendation, and I also bought some 15 gallon bags from Vivosun as I have used some of their other products. Sixteen of the 10 gal bags were the same price as 10 of the 15 gal Vivosun bags but with the size difference that is not a fair comparison. Both appear to be made with similar fabric and is seems to be of decent quality. The carrying handles of both brands are "box X" stitched. The Jeria straps are larger but the Vivosun straps are a woven nylon or polyester material, both should last as long as the bags. The only quality difference I see between the brands is the Vivosun bags are double stitched with a straight hem as well as an edge hem from a serger machine (I think). The Jeria bags have a single hem but appear to be strong enough. I am in the process of filling bags now with a compost blend so time will tell how long everything lasts. With a little care if they both last a few years I will be thrilled but so far so good.

This was a gift for my dad, who is of a particular silent generation. He says these bags are perfect. Their size helps him maintain smaller pots so he does not hurt himself when he moves them. The handles help, the construction is sturdy and it allows water to seep through without drying out. It's perfect.
