I have a 24 ft. Crownline with a double axle trailer. The boat weighs 4,300 lbs. dry and of course it is never dry and without other stuff in it in addition to fuel. The trailer had a 1500 lb. single wheel jack that had some wear and tear and for some time I had thought of replacing it. I finally got around to ordering this Jeremywell jack. It is rated at 2,000 lbs. and that was a big deal to me. The double wheels were also a big deal to me as my boat is really heavy. The jack includes everything that you will need for proper installation. I was NOT happy that there were no included instructions. It was not that hard to figure out, but included instructions would make the process of orienting and aligning the bracket properly for installation a whole lot easier, as opposed to trial and error. It would also make it easier to figure out what size tools that you might need. I can say this. You will discover that you need a 9/16, a 5/8, an 11/16 and a 3/4 socket and will also find it helpful to have an accompanying wrench that matches all of the above to aid you in installation (to hold one end while you tighten the other). Also, for some strange reason, in order to attach the handle grip to the device you will need a 16mm socket to hold the inside nut in place so you can attach it to the handle. I have no idea why everything is SAE with one metric. I still rate it a five simply because it is a quality piece and it fit my needs to perfection.

Wow! We have a very heavy cutty cabin boat and every single one of our jacks have bent. This thing is very heavy duty!! It was simple to install and works great. When we would have the storage area people pull our boat out they would not align the wheels up and always bend or break our jacks. This one is very sturdy and will last a long time.

Definitely a great quality Jack. The stock one that came with our 22 foot pontoon had the gears stripped. Researched and decided to go with this one. It did NOT disappoint. The only drawback is that there aren’t instructions included. However, in another posted review, the poster gave details about what would be needed and he was accurate! (Thank you to reviewer that gave directions!) Even without the directions, it wasn’t “hard” to figure out. But it did help to have a heads up on what size tools were needed. Again, this thing is built like a brick house and I definitely recommend it!

My trailer had a flat bottom jack on the tongue which required me to lift the tongue to move it. Way to heavy to move a lot. This was easy to install and is well built. My trailer weighs 1250lbs and has 140lbs on the tongue. I am able to now roll it around into position. You do have to be careful of the environment, because the wheel has a tendency to dig into soft grass and make a little hole or be hard when trying to change direction. I think this would be true with any wheel with the exception of rubber ones so no ding for that.

I like this jack a lot, it's strong, raises and lowers easily and swings away as it should. One con is the attachment system is not the best as it just clamps into the frame and is hard to keep it from slipping. It needs a better way to connect to the frame, maybe even a way to bolt into it directly. That's my only issue so far.

I bought this to replace my prior trailer jack that felt like the gears were well worn down and hard to crank. That one was a 15,00 lb one. This is a 2,000 LB jack and the difference is night and day in how much easier it is to crank my boat trailder up or down to place on my Trucks hitch . Really glad I found and bought this great unit . It arrived just when they said it would . Easy to install to .
