The craftsmanship and softness of this cutie is fantastic. However, be advised that the length is if the legs are uncoiled and stretched all the way out (which have to be forced). I don’t know why I did not think of that. So it is much smaller than you would think. Coiled up it sits approximately 11 inches. I got it for my 9 year olds room redecoration but I think it would work best for a babies room or toddler. I will keep it but if I went back in time I would not buy again just because it doesn’t fit my need based on the size. The Jellycat Odell Octopus Stuffed Animal is undeniably an impressive plush toy. Its size and softness make it a great cuddle companion for both kids and adults. However, I do think that the price of this toy is a bit steep, and people may be paying more for the brand name rather than the product itself. While the Jellycat brand has a reputation for producing high-quality plush toys, I don't think that the extra cost is justified in this case. There are other similarly sized and soft stuffed animals available on the market for a lower price point. Overall, if you're someone who values the Jellycat brand name and is willing to pay a premium for it, then the Jellycat Odell Octopus Stuffed Animal is a great option. However, if you're more focused on getting the most bang for your buck, then there are other options available ... show more

I was a little grumbly about paying $52.00 for a medium sized stuffed animal originally but after receiving it, I am so ecstatic that I did. This stuffed toy is literally the softest, most well made I’ve ever come across. The main reason I wanted it so bad was because I’d never seen an octopus stuffed animal with curly tentacles, and can I just say, the way in which the tentacles are made is just GORGEOUS! It’s a very unique and tactile stuffed toy all around, it can be for both children and adults alike. The coloring is a brilliant plush Rose Blush and the underside is Cream colored and made from very soft Cordy Roy. I had never really heard of JellyCat until now being as I’m from the states and it’s not necessarily ‘Well Known’ here but I will definitely be looking for more from this unique and fun plushies brand. If you’re on the fence about purchasing Odell, just take the splurge and buy it, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. ... show more

I just love it… bought it for my newborn baby girl. It’s so soft and cuddly. I love the curliness of the tentacles. I bought the largest size, 22” and would not go smaller. It’s just a little on the pricey side, but it makes me happy to see it next to her bassinet.

So soft and adorable! Bought this for the nursery and need to keep away from the golden retrievers. The tentacles curl up and are cream colored underneath. It arrived as pictured.
