So these are smaller than they seem in the picture - which I could have dealt with. The size was actually fine - but once you popped it up into the crate, as soon as you picked it up by the handles, the sides where the handles are folded in again. I needed large ones. 16 liters. It’s like a large shoe box. I needed one for laundry basket and also for aldi. But if ur looking for smaller ones then these are great and cute. But for the money they don’t hold but 3 Apple juice bottles.

I was looking forward to this when it arrived. As I opened it up to use it for my trunk, it already fell apart. Totally cheap material plastic, alignment already broke and waste of my mine. Had to throw it away! =(

I thought these were larger than they are in real life. They are roughly the size of a sheet of paper (9×12) and about 4" tall. I ended up using these to store canned groceries in my pantry. They tend to collapse when you slide them out, even across a flat surface. I wouldn't store anything heavier than a pound in these. I guess for the price they are okay but these are NOT Lotus boxes. I regret not paying slightly more for the Lotus boxes, but now I have these, so I made a spot for them. I'm definitely ordering LARGER and STURDIER boxes ELSEWHERE. ... show more

We bought these to use on trips with our 28 ft travel trailer. We use them to transport groceries and dry goods from the house to the trailer when preparing for a road trip. We love them. My only complaint is that the side walls can collapse inward when picking up an empty crate because the latch mechanism that keeps the crate open is easily released. Once the crates are loaded with stuff, they work fine. They also fold up easily and occupy very little space. If we needed more collapsible crates, we would buy these again. ... show more

    • The Only Question Is..........wIll It Last?

I wanted something small, not too high, like this crate, inexpensive, and strong enough, to put on my bike rear rack, on top of the saddlebag cross piece, to add additional grocery capacity. I read an answer to someone's question about whether they could do this, and the answer was something like: "I think it would collapse used this way, going over bumps, etc.". So I thought about that, and how I might prevent the end walls from coming unlocked and collapsing the crate. There would be any number of ways to achieve this. I chose to cut a piece of sturdy cardboard to fit a bit tightly into the bottom of the crate, thus exerting some pressure onto the end walls and preventing them from moving inward toward collapse. In theory that would be a successful solution. In fact, it is. I've just completed my first grocery run, and there was no problem at all, and the crate performed flawlessly. On a side note, I also bought a 15.7 x 15.7 inch cargo net to go over top of the crate. Not only does this net, with its hooks, hold the crate onto the rack, when empty, with no other attachments needed, but it was also perfect for holding the loaded crate securely in place for the ride home. Now, this was only one grocery run. Will this crate hold up over time and use? That's my only remaining question. The combination of the crate with the cargo net is so far the exactly perfect solution for what I wanted to achieve. UPDATE: I've now completed three or four grocery trips with this crate and it continues to perform as I want it to. No problems thus far. Thumbs up. ... show more

    • Collapse easily. Not so much the opening & securing

One does pretty much get what one pays for, yeah? They collapse and fold down quite easily. Rather a pain in the arse to put together, though. One side or the other keeps collapsing in on itself and minimizes the integrity of the entire container. I can't even get the sides to lock-in. And I don't want to zip-tie them, because that would make them less portable. I may have to resort to that, though, as they really are a pain to keep together. I would only repurchase this item if I were going to zip-tie them in a more permanent use solution. ... show more
