I have a smaller harness that works for a couple of my cats, but I have 2 cats that are over 20 pounds and needed something bigger. This harness works perfectly. They hate it, but it makes the task of trimming their nails so much easier. I think this is a lot less traumatic for them than wrapping them in a blanket or towel, which doesn't always work. Once I get them in the harness, I can have the nail clipping done before they can figure out what's going on.

It’s a really good value and I love that it comes with a nail trimmer! Unfortunately my 10lb cat isn’t quite big enough for it ~ I would compare your pet to the size of mine to determine if you think it’ll work for you. I’m taking one star off because of that ~ It has a max weight, but a minimum weight would help in the description. Thanks!

When I ordered this grooming sling, I wasn't aware of the different sizes. I thought it was just available in different colors. I mistakenly ordered the orange which is for bigger pets (up to 24 lbs) when I probably should've ordered the teal (up to 12 lbs). Luckily my cat is 12 lbs so the orange size works. To be honest, I'm thinking it could work with any pet less than 24 lbs because of gravity. As long as the pet is hanging, it shouldn't be able to get out, I don't think. But I don't have a smaller pet, so I can't test my theory. Anyway, my cat doesn't enjoy it but he tolerates it and it gets the job done. It folds up nice and small and I love that it comes with nail clippers and file. It's a great price for everything you get.

My cat may hate this, but we love it. It keeps her safe while clipping her nails and protects us from the scratches. Be sure to use the wider edge for the front of the animal. This allows you to raise them without putting any pressure on their neck area. It is sturdy and more convenient than using a towel or blanket. My only issue was that we did not own a stand to support the sling. There are 2 tether points that hold S hooks (included) to mount to a stand. I simply had my husband hold the sling with her in it about 6 inches from the floor while I clipped her nails, and it worked fine.

I was able to get my dog nails clips faster than usual. The middle strap in the harness makes this groomer hammock so much better than the rest. Love the support it provides.

This harness is extremely sturdy! It holds our Yorkie easily and keeps her from being able to squirm around when I’m trying to do nail care. The nail clippers and file was an additional bonus as well! The metal file is perfect for smoothing down her nails. She doesn’t like the grinders much so this works well for us.
