Just the name... ...made me want to order this. I am a product junkie but at the same time, I want to do the minimum for happy skin. For me, that is cleansing, moisturizing, eye cream and when doing an outdoor swim workout, waterproof, mineral based sunscreen. I'm pretty fussy about what I want from a face wash (facial cleanser). It might be a guy thing, but one thing I want, is LOTS of lather. Yes, I know, additives can be included to create lather that have NOTHING to do with actual cleansing and good skin care; still, it is a preference. When I ordered this, based on my experience with other gel based facial cleansers, I expected a low lather product, but the description of the product fragrance: "a light, fresh “Aqua” scent, (think tropical waterfall)" sounded too delicious to resist. I would call this a medium level of lather cleanser. It is dispensed from an airless type dispenser with a pump top. The pump stroke minimizes waste, but it took 5 pumps of the metered pump top for me to have the amount of product that I felt was needed to wash my face (that was about a pea sized amount of product). The product is a clear gel with a slight blue tint to it. The scent is light, fresh and though marketed/targeted towards men, I would call the scent "gender neutral". I would also call the level/intensity of scent to be about a 3 on a scale of 10; (10 being the strongest). I did not find the scent to linger after rinsing and drying off. After dispensing those 5 pumps of product into the palm of my hand I rubbed my palms together vigorously for several seconds. Using that same 10 scale, the level of lather I achieved was about a 4 on a scale of 10. Lather volume may or may not be important to you, and as I said, I anticipated a low level of lather from this, being a gel, so I was pleasantly surprised. Applied to my face, it was pleasant, with no extreme feeling or sensation (like a minty-ness or burning or anything of a nature that "stuck out" or could easily be described). After rinsing it leaves my skin smooth and slippery (while still wet) more so than say, just water would. After drying off, I do not detect a sense of tightness or dryness, but as routine, apply eye cream and moisturizer shortly after cleansing. To test this, I waited an hour or so before doing those other layers of product; again, no tightness or sense of dry or itchy. The container, while not huge, is just a bit bigger than what I want to carry with me to the gym (for after those swim workouts). With the cap on, it measures a little over 5 1/4" high with a diameter of about 1 3/4". If you are going to travel with this, you will want to leave the cap on, as the pump mechanism does not lock open/closed. The product page mentions "Korean skin care" and this is indeed made in Korea; indicated on the box (if that's important to you). Nice product, but honestly, I have a Japanese favorite that is priced less than this and if I were paying, not writing a review....... I've given this a 4 star rating based on perceived quality of ingredients and overall experience. I hope this review has enabled you to make an informed purchase decision. I rarely give an overall 5 star rating.

I liked this cleanser. The bottle looks great and it smells amazing. Like a super light men’s cologne. It’s a gel cleanser and it doesn’t really foam up much but it leaves your skin feeling clean but I wouldn’t say moisturized. It did make me break out a bit but I’m a bit sensitive to skincare products. I also like the way the bottle looks. Very simple and not too busy.

I'm a big fan of hyaluronic acid products, so I had to see what this cleanser was all about. I have pretty normal skin (not overly oily or sensitive), but I also have a thick, curly beard that tends to cause ingrown hairs on my neck. Hyaluronic acid really helped solve those issues for me. After using this face soap, my biggest pro was the fact that my face didn't feel even a bit dry. My skin seems to tolerate it well and I think it does a decent job cleaning off the dirt and stuff from a dirty face. Ingrown hairs have really been kept at bay! My biggest gripe is that I feel it costs too much. I know, I know... "Luxury skincare" and all that. But this bottle will last me a month at max, and at $35 or so per bottle, that's $420 per year of just soap. But shoot, if your budget allows, you might be really impressed.

This is a pump dispenser, which I find a bit weird for a facial cleanser! It'd be fine for a makeup remover or something similar, but this is geared more toward men (even though women can use it just fine too!) I typically use my hands to wash my face and the last thing I want to do after washing them is pickup a bottle so I can rub that grime in with the soap as I cleanse my face... regardless, only a minor gripe! The formula itself is a tinge blue and a gel-like solution that has a nice scent that fades after rinsing, which I appreciate! It's full of good stuff (ceramides, hyaluronic acid, etc.) and appears to be a one-fell-swoop approach to anyone who has trouble using multiple products for their skincare routine. It's worth a try to see if it works well for you, but the price has me thinking twice on making this a daily addition to my own.

The BOOM CICA WOW facial cleanser worked wonders for my husband's skin. Just a few uses helped his skin feel much better and he no longer feels dry patches on his face as he had with other cleansers. Cica is best used when being left on your skin to really moisturize and hydrate over time, I was curious how it might work as a face wash. BOOM CICA WOW is a great facial cleanser that is dermatologist formulated for men and women of all skin types. It comes in a really nice bottle with a pump dispenser and is made in Korea. It not only cleanses your skin but increases collagen, repairs cells, and protects your skin from pollutants. If there's a scent it's really faint and not one that I can really detect. It comes out clear looking too but if you look inside the container it actually looks blue. Overall I think it's a really nice product that does what it's supposed to by removing makeup and other contaminants. My only real issue with it would be with the price (currently $34) which in my opinion is a little on the high side for only 3.4 fluid ounces.

Cute name. It's what originally caught my attention. But when it arrived I was surprised at the small size. It doesn't take much to make lot's of lather and it doesn't seem very drying on my skin - both of which are good things - but it does sting my eyes if it gets in them. The fragrance is mild and doesn't linger after it's washed off - a plus - but the bottle is surprisingly small for the price. It's half the amount of my usual face wash for more than double the price. That - and the eye irritation - is a deal breaker for me. Especially considering that most of my Korean products are more of a bargain. I don't think I'd reorder again.

This made in Korea facial wash seems premium priced. So, no bargain for me. The small plastic bottle does have a modern, stylish, vertical look (which reminds me of a small, thin can of shaving cream) and only holds a mere 3.4 fluid ounces. I would have appreciated a much more generous amount at this price point, especially when considering this is merely a facial wash. Such washes can easily be (8) fluid ounces and more. It's a pump bottle, that dispenses the lite blue gel like soap. The bottle was not sealed, however, the retail packaging this arrived in was, which is appreciated. Pulling off the camp reveals a pump bottle. It will take about (30) seconds of pumping to get the initial quantity out of the bottle. A sniff of the wash finds a subtle flower fragrance, which I like. But I would prefer a heavier scent, so such might allow this fragrance to remain after finishing my evening and morning ablution. For now, you can barely catch the fragrant aroma and there is little the imagination can conjure up what this smells like after rinsing off. Face Using just “pea” sized amount, for face washing, brings a lot of thick lather, all without sodium “laureth” sulfate (SLES), which is said to be a slightly less harsh version of sodium “lauryl” sulfate (SLS), which is a chemical that's commonly used in soaps, shampoos, and shower gels as a surfactant – think foaming agent for creating lots of suds. There is a “lot” of controversy surrounding the use of SLS [and SLES], so the reader will have to decide whether such is an issue surrounding selection and use. For me, I prefer a wash free from SLS/SLES, it’s a must, as we have small children and we do not want to grab this and use it on them if we are in a pinch to use a wash (plus sometimes they want us to use, on them, what we use). We experienced no drying-out nor skin tightness, with obvious moisturizing. Bottom-line I am interested in a facial wash that allows for moisturizing and has skin-loving ingredients. I like the thick lather, the hint of what I think is a fragrant flower fragrance, and the bottle is cute. I think the overall results were above average. What really tipped the scales was the lack of SLES, and some of the other ingredients. I would select this again. Always consult a health care professional prior to use. I hope my thoughts assisted any decision.

The JAXON LANE Men's Face Wash, BOOM CICA WOW Cleanser comes in a pump dispenser so there is no waste of product. I was able to get a light lather and enough product with one pump. It is a clear gel with a light clean scent. I like that is has clean EWG rated good ingredient list. This product leaves my face feeling clean and hydrated. I feel like this is a great product and it was worth giving it a try. I would purchase this again.

This JAXON LANE BOOM CICA WOW Barrier Boost Gel Cleanser comes in a nice pump-top bottle that dispenses well - I don't have to frustratedly pound on the top of the pump several times to get enough cleanser - just a pump or two on a silicone face scrubber does the trick. The gel is a fun blue color and has a fresh "Aqua" scent that's hard to describe, but it's definitely more of a masculine scent. It lathers up into a fine, delicate foam, rinses away easily with a few splashes of water, and leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean without feeling stripped or dried out. My husband and I have both been using this and I would order it again!
