Translations were pretty accurate, but it's essentially a basic Android device with zero customization available. Enjoy that default wallpaper for $400. Out of the box, the 4G cell service never worked. Tried all the troubleshooting, wouldn't connect. Contacted customer service while in Tokyo and never received a response. Try something cheaper or just deal with the limitations of Google Translate. ... show more

I opened the box with anticipation and resolved to read all the instructions first, which I did. Several times I rebooted but could not get past about the third screen where it failed to respond to pressing a START button. Did not even reach the so-called Home Screen. The help contact telephone number was no longer in service. Just about the worst ever. I would give it zero stars if that option existed. ... show more

This is a great product, my 57-year-old stepmother came to US from China to visit our kids. she can’t speak english. with this product she can go outsider nearby to take a walk as what she does in China by herself. The transitions are clear, quick , and accurate. we are very satisfied with it.

This is a great translation device when your phone internet is not available. I tested this at work, using the company high speed wifi and the translation device worked a little bit, but kept giving the error that said it was unable to detect the wifi signal. If it can not detect the strong wifi connection at my work, then you can not rely on wifi signals while on vacation or elsewhere. It worked flawlessly translating English and Spanish, since those were the 2 languages that come preloaded to the device. It is easy to use. You select the language that you want to use, then the language you want translated, press and hold and speak the sentence or phrase to translate and then wait for it to automatically audibly translate. It does not seem to auto detect the language. You still have to select the language that you want to use. Which works great if you are travelling on vacation and you know the target language that you are needing. But if you want to use this for your business front counter to translate the language your customer are speaking, you have to know what language they are speaking. You select the language and let them speak. Then you have to reverse select the languages, and you can speak a response for them to hear. Then, you have to again, reverse the language selections and let them speak. It does seem to translate the languages fairly accurately. The sentence structure is not converted perfectly for each language, but it instead translates it word for word and it is good enough to get your point across and be able to communicate. It is small and portable and seems to be well built. For the price, I expected it to be able to auto detect the language and be able to translate to what language I choose. The auto detection on pictures is really cool. This is certainly a great device for using on vacation. ... show more
