Tips to make these even better: - Don't use the zip cover as a fitted sheet. These futons may be lighter than a traditional mattress but fussing with these sheets that do not slip on and off easily is a pain. Regular fitted sheets from the store fits on these and slip on without rolling up! - Turn the zip cover into a light duvet with some batting inside from the regular store for a frugal blanket. - These can fit on a bedframe if you don't like sleeping on the floor. Just use some bunkie board or thick hard material between the bed and the frame.

I don't write reviews very often but after looking through some of the bad reviews on this, I thought I would add my two cents. This is a very good japanese futon mattress, and I highly recommend this one if that is what you want - it is exactly what I expected and it is a very comfortable sleep for me. That being said, it is a japanese futon mattress, and so it is supposed to be thin and you are supposed to feel the floor. If you are expected a bed mattress of any sort, you will be disappointed. This is not a typical mattress - it is designed to be on the floor and be quite firm as a result. I think it is absolutely great and exactly what I expected. If you want a japanese futon mattress, this one fits the bill and I recommend it. But that is what you will get - a thin japanese futon mattress, not a typical bed mattress, even one that you consider thin.

Nice, comfortable, and true to size. Easy to roll up, with a cover spacious enough to store it without hassle. Just be careful when eating or drinking , liquids can spill easily if you're not cautious.

One thing to note: this is NOT thick. It’s comfy, but if you like squishy beds/couch/other seating this might not be for you. It’s like a Japanese floor mattress, made to add a bit of comfort to spending your sitting time on the ground. It could also be used on a too thin/blow up mattress for extra comfort. Camping or beach trips are a good idea for it too! That said, I LOVE this floor mattress. The colors are great and it’s perfect for my long transition to being able to sit on the floor without pain after an injury and a couple of car accidents over the last 8 years. I read on it last night laying down and am working on it today sitting up with one of the cushions in the photo to help tilt my pelvis a bit to support my neck and it’s working wonders! Definitely would buy again!

The construction is good. Comes with a case. Pad has a washable cover also. Problem is, the pad is too thin. We purchased the pad to act as a floor pad with sit and watch movies. IF you ay on the pad and want to sleep the pad is just too thin. It's not comfortable. The cushioness of the pad is very limited. Unlike a futon mattress which is much thicker and more comfortable. This pad is certainly not comfortable. Not sure what its good for now.

I’ve used this for kid sleepovers and floor sleeping on trips. It is very comfortable, even on hardwood. My only wish is that it could be packed away smaller to take up less space, like for travel or storage. Otherwise, it’s a quality product that I find use for regularly.

It’s thin but has a foam pad that makes it better than a camping mat on ground but it’s not a futon mattress. Bought it to sleep on floor w my senior dog who has bone cancer and I was able to sleep without back pain. Try it. I’m grateful for the time it’s providing me with my dog thank you
