Love these clubs...as I had such a hard time hitting my irons the weight of the club heads allow me to swing the club through the ball and get a full follow through also the sand wedge which I thought would’ve been the most difficult to hit is very easy for me the only thing I would change which I did already are the grips they are really small and feel cheap. I switched to a midsized grip made by superstroke and they make the clubs feel expensive. Love the look love the feel the sound at impact is a little clunky but doesn’t effect the ball flight or the forgiveness of these clubs. I would definitely recommend for anyone that has a hard time hitting irons and loves to play golf the changes my game completely I went from shooting in the high 90’s to low 90’s consistently and have shot rounds in the low 80’s ... show more

    • Too difficult to read the number of each club, but not impossible!!!
Nice looking!! I especially like the price since I seem to buy new clubs every year or so. Con: Almost sent back immediately because could not find a number on each - took my wife to find the numbers. As someone else said the numbers of each club is located on the bottom of each club in as small of a font that could be written - not good!! I have ordered labels for the clubs that I hope will help. Ok, now have played with them and I like them so far. Still have to be very careful to ensure I grab the correct club with the numbers so small. I hope my buddies don't razz me about the large number stickers I placed on them. ... show more

Clubs look very good. R rated shaft has a very low Tourque rating making them too stiff for me to use. Contacted Japan golf asking if they had other shaft options. They sent unexplained info with no choices.

I am a 76 year old golfer looking for increased distance and accuracy. Faced with decreasing swing speed and the basic infirmities of the elderly, my answer was to find clubs with weight distribution to aid in launching the ball and hopefully increase distance. These clubs fill the bill.

I really enjoy these clubs. They really look great. Its nice that they come with headcovers. I got brown leather headcovers. Not the sticky vinyl ones. They are nice but fall off pretty easily so be careful. You definitely need a larger type cart bag to fit them all. I quit golf many years ago because I couldn't hit an iron. I'd literally shank it every time. With Covid-19 I decided to get back into golf again. I've always wanted to try "wood" irons because I never had a problem hitting fairway woods. I'm really glad I did. I love these clubs. They are just so easy to hit and hit straight. I haven't had any problems with paint chipping off like others have said. But I always use the headcovers. I will say, I used the sand wedge in the bunker and it did take all the paint off and scratch the bottom up. I kind of expected it would. I recently played with someone who also hadn't played in years because like me they couldn't hit irons. Halfway through the round I told them to give these clubs a try. They loved them and played the rest of the round with them. They hit them great too. Nice and straight. They went and bought them the next day! So distance wise. I hit the SW 100-110yds. PW 120-130yds. 4H about 175yds. Just going off the ones I've used the most so far. I really wish I could get a WaZaki 3 wood and 5 wood! ... show more

    • These clubs do launch it high
Just got these last week after reviewing many hybrid iron sets. They came well packaged in a double box and individually wrapped. First thing you notice is the quality and workmanship as these clubs are really well made. The 2nd thing is that they are a bit longer maybe 3/4" than my Taylormade speed blades. They are also much lighter with the 55g shaft. I've used them once and hit a bucket of balls and they are about as long as the Taylormade speed blades but they consistently launch the ball much higher and are very easy to hit even in the rough. My swing speed has been slowing down (hate getting oId) and I was losing height and distance on the mid and long irons thus the reason for the purchase. I'll play a round in the next few days and update these preliminary findings, but so far so good. Okay so I payed a round yesterday and hit a few amazing shots with the 4i, 5i and PW. They are about 1 club or so longer than my old Taylormade Speed Blades but I do notice that on a few shots, the ball immediately flared to the right (a push) which I rarely do as I normally fight a hook. Not sure if I'm playing them too far forward or nor which might explain it. I seem to recall somewhere that the mfg requested feedback on experiences with these clubs and offered some analysis if requested. does anyone have a web address for Wazaki? ... show more

I purchased the Wazaki gold hybrid irons, 5 wood and Cyclone 77 10° driver and played 5 rounds in the Kissimmee and Orlando Florida golf courses and extremely happy. I'm a 19 handicap 70 year old regular golfer and only first outing at Orange Lake Legends course I scored 83 with an eagle on the 11th long par 5, 120 yards 3rd shot holed in. Call it luck but it is what it is. Performance of the irons is they are consistent and because they are hydrids they just brush the fairway grass pick-up the ball no divot. Ball flight is high and stops on the green with 3 short hops. The driver is consistent and straight same distance as my Ping driver but straighter and consistent 220 yrs. The 5 wood flight is high and long 190-200 yrs. Straight consistent. Only issue is the gold finish is wearing off, actually transferring to the ball. Not a big issue and does not affect performance. For the price I did not go wrong. I have 8 iron sets and this the cheapest and my current favorite. I love it. Let's see how durable they are but they are guaranteed 5 years so I'm not worried, quality of finish is excellent. On the bag is my old Ping driver i15 and Mizuno MP52. Now I play Wazaki and very satisfied Try it and see how it work for you. ... show more
