Best bag for school

We were looking for a better pack than the one she had for our daughter. Our goals were to have something with a side panel for her water bottle and enough room for her laptop and just a few items, along with a separate pocket for mask(s). And we didn't want it too heavy since she's only five. (Luckily, she doesn't have to carry the laptop eery day; just Mon/Fri, but in COVID times, yeah, 5 year old have laptops now.) Anyway, she's a fairly big kid for 5. A bit over 42" and 48lbs. The pack fits her ok, even if just a bit big. But it's not overwhelmingly big and anything smaller - for her - would have been not quite enough. The only thing that maybe doesn't thrill me is it might have been nice if there was perhaps one more panel/zipper/section in front. The zipper section in front does have a dividing packet, but just one more separated space might have been nice to keep masks separate. Still, this is a Jansport and will hopefully live up to its name in quality. We didn't want to get some cheap piece of garbage that would fall apart. So far we're only 2 weeks in so I can't say much about it's toughness, but wanted to put in her size/weight as that's always the thing that bugs us about these things; it's hard to tell if it'll work for a particular size person.

Bought this for my son and he absolutely loves it. He’s in 3rd grade and it has held up all year. And I know jansport has a lifetime guarantee so if anything happens we will get a free replacement!

Love the galaxy print!! It’s so pretty!! Had a jansport growing up and they’re supposed to last a long time so I bought this one for my daughter. It’s super lightweight and doesn’t seem super durable when you’re looking at it and holding it, but hopefully it lives up to its name!

I have bought Jansport backpacks for over 20years...all my children have had one through all their years of schooling...the only complaint I have about this backpack is that the zipper keeps getting stuck on the fabric making it difficult to unzip

Great backpack for the price. It will be ideal for this school year. It appears to be strong, durable, and withstand all kinds of weather. Got the backpack quickly. And the price was pretty darn good.
