This lasted three years through middle school. The white lining was good. It is machine washable on gentle warm and air dried quickly, we probably did that a total of 5-6 times so far. The water bottle mesh fell apart and some of the fabric is a little frayed superficially from being dragged or stuffed in the locker, but overall the straps and comparments remain solid and would probably last another few years except y'know how it goes guys, kid's not into "galaxy" stuff any more! It has definitely been worth it and we will keep it for a back up backpack.

I travel to multiple hospitals and never have a desk of my own that I can set up a permanent office. So I carry my office with me every night at work. I was using a chic leather designer work bag. The tote version that goes over one shoulder. But I carry a lot of crap and it’s quite a distance to walk from my car to the office. I started to have back and shoulder pain from my heavy bag. So being a professional, I decided to harken back to my school days and bought a backpack. I always had a Jansport in school, because they were durable and the in thing. I got the cosmos pattern this time, because I figured it was a tiny bit quirky but still professional. And who can argue with space, right?! Well, my boss promptly told me that she had the same backpack for her son in elementary school. That kid has good taste. Anyway, my back and shoulder pain are now gone. Well, mostly. The back pack is very comfortable to wear with thick padded straps. It’s a bit heavy and a bit huge. But it’s got a ton of compartments. So many pockets. So I’m able to carry as much crap with me as I choose. Great purchase!

Purchased this for my 2nd grade daughter. She LOVES the galaxy print and I love how durable these backpacks are. I was pleased that the straps adjusted down so small, so it didn't overwhelm her smaller frame. My son has had the same JanSport backpack for three years now and it has ZERO rips, zippers are all still working, and it holds all of his schoolwork and lunchbox and water bottle.

I've been using this backpack for three months now, and it's still holding up extremely well. It has many pockets to everything I need. As another reviewer said, the inside of the back does feel kind of like an insulated lunch box, but it really does help keep stuff dry. There were a few times the I had to walk through the rain for my college classes (and I once had to run through some heavy downpour). My backpack got wet, but the stuff inside was still dry. I can't say much about the laptop compartment because I keep my laptop in its own separate bag, but I did notice that there isn't as much padding at the bottom of the bag. I would recommend putting something cushy at the bottom if you plan on storing a laptop in there. My only complaint about the bag is that the water bottle pocket is on my right side instead of the left side like my other JanSport backpack.

I love to pen pal, but needed the right bag to hold all of my supplies in an organized way. This has so many great pockets that I can get everything in there and organized with room to spare. The backpack is also very comfy to wear with slight padding on the back and the straps. It wears well with no digging into my shoulders when I wear it. I'm a larger sized person and it fits just fine. The fabric design of the universe looks great and it's a nice strong canvas that will hold up for awhile.

Got this as a gift for my daughter. The print is awesome and hasn't faded for two school years. The zips and capacity are the quality I remember from Jansport since the 90s. The fabric change feels like plastic. I miss the durable coated canvas that Jansport backpacks used to be made of. With lots of books, a laptop, lunch, and waterbottle the backpack holds up to carrying weight. Spills have cleaned off but stains didn't come out of the inside. The side pocket is large enough for my daughter's Simple Modern 22 ounce water bottle. We tried out my Yeti 36 ounce and the pocket stretched to accomodate that too!

I had my last JanSport backpack for the past 20 years and it was time to update. JanSport is the most durable bag I have ever owned. Only updated because my old bag was light purple and after 20 years of use it was dirty and dingy. It was a no brainer that I was going with JanSport but I just need to find the right style/design. I love that the new style had a laptop compartment. Since COVID I work remotely but do go into the office on occasion and this bag provides space for everything I need to take back and forth. The straps provided great comfort. I use this as my personal item when traveling by air and when walking longer distance you barely notions on your back.

Got this for my 11 yo middle school daughter and she absolutely loves it! So many pockets!!! It’s amazing how much you can store in this backpack. The dedicated laptop pocket is fantastic. Not sure what people are saying about the material feeling plastic-y, this feels like every other Jansport material and the Galaxy print is super cool. It’s feels sturdy and strong and the straps are nicely padded. As soon as my daughter put it on she said, “oh, this feels nice”! Her backpack can get pretty heavy so that is a good endorsement for me!
