    • Tedious exchange / return process
I've always appreciated the quality of Jansport, and even now, as I write this low score review, I'm confident that it's likely still a good investment, and my experience is the exception, but it shouldn't be this way, and I'm disappointed. The zipper on this busted right away. I immediately reached out to return here, but was told I had to set up the return via Jansport website, where they then directed me to return via the post office and at my own cost. It's also notable that this was in the middle of the pandemic, because post office access wasn't simple. Normally I return things post free, via a (free) amazon hub. So consider only ordering here if you have the capacity to go through a tedious exchange / return process. ... show more

    • Good for 1 School Year Only?
We received ours 9/4/22, by 10/31/22 one strap broke and two days later the zipper started to go. My son uses it only for school (high school), as he has different back pack for travel & hiking, and while he loads it up he doesn’t over stuff it. We expected it to last more than one school year.
