I'm in my 50s and have been using this pressed powder for more than 20 years. Great color match, doesn't irritate my skin, and covers up redness and blotchiness. Clearly I'm a fan. However, they've recently changed their packaging and the last two refills I received DID NOT INCLUDE AN APPLICATOR PAD! Seriously? I've tried using a foam sponge and, while I like the results, the sponge is too thick to fit in the compact. Not a problem if it is sitting in my drawer, but useless when traveling or tucking into a purse for an evening out. I'm currently using round disposable cotton pads, which tear apart after a couple days and need to be thrown away. To make matters worse, the cotton pads absorb a bunch of the pressed powder, which is then lost when the pad gets thrown out. This product waste is significant - the current refill that I'm using hasn't lasted nearly as long as the older ones supplied with the fabric pad. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the applicator pad. Or at least tell me where I can buy a package of them so I don't have to continue using these ridiculous disposable ones. Otherwise, heaven forbid, you will be sending a middle aged woman on a humiliating journey to some department store makeup counter in the hopes of finding an alternative powder/base.

I have aging skin now that I’m in my 40s, and this product works great. It doesn’t settle in pores or lines, and provides a nice even skin tone. It covers my uneven skin tones, and feels weightless on my face. I was skeptical of going to a powder foundation, but I’m so glad I did. It’s quick and easy to apply. Just don’t drop it, it will break and it’s not fun to use when it’s broken up. It is expensive but it lasts really long, I order one every 3 months and I use it 5/6 days a week. I don’t reapply during the day, which I am sure some people would. If that’s the case you may need it more often. I highly recommend this product, and am so glad I trusted the other reviews and tried it out.

I have been a devoted Jane Iredale product junkie since the 90s. While I don't love all her products I do absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her pressed powder - especially applied with her Handi Brush (although any powder brush like a kabuki would work). It is a powder that needs to be "buffed" on the skin in tight circles and the SPF is out of this world. SPF is important to me because I'm a natural redhead with a ruddy complexion and freckles for all those years before sunscreen came onto the market in the 80s and even then, growing up and living in Southern California it is impossible to avoid the sun. Just today I had a visit with my dermatologist for a mole patrol and she was very pleased with the condition of my skin and I chalk it up to when I started taking skincare/makeup seriously in my late 20s (I'm now 51). If you can, try to have the powder matched in person (check out her website for an authorized reseller in your area) and then purchase via Amazon because there are very subtle differences in coloring. The range of colors, the last time I looked, is limited so those with darker color skin may not find this brand helpful. However, I also really like that this powder is buildable - usually I just apply enough to provide SPF but keep my skin looking natural (meaning that I'm not wearing heavy makeup so my freckles and natural ruddiness is still visible) but for those times when I want more coverage, I just apply more product.
