I am confused. Did I buy a used compact refil? I don’t know if this came from the amazon warehouse or a third party individual but “amber” refil looks a mess. Not to mention it isn’t the same size in depth as the “warm silk” I also ordered. I will be returning both and making the trip up to a plastic surgeons office to make sure I am buying a fresh “real” Jane iredale product. Since discovering Jane iredale foundation 4 Year’s ago I have not used anything else. My skin can get dry & other compact foundations always look powdery & show up the dry flakes. Not this one. After about 10 minutes it kind of settles nicely on the skin & no longer looks powdery at all. I have the warm Sierra colour & it’s a perfect match on my skin. I’ve gotten lots of compliments on my skin looking flawless. It evens out my skin beautifully & covers the redness on my cheeks nicely (the yellow base of this colour helps with that). It’s pricey but I use mine every single day & it lasts me a year so it’s well worth it. If you can try it somewhere before buying to get the perfect colour you won’t be disappointed! ... show more

I'm a long time user of JI products, and this powder never fails! For all the hundreds I've spent on foundation and powders, this affordable powder blows away all of the pricier competitions. I have ice pick scarring, discoloration, and wrinkles....This powder with a good primer underneath replaces foundation and concealer with excellent coverage that wears well while looking a lot more natural than other products. The new refillable compacts to put them in however are cheap and not worth it. I wish they would bring back the burnished metal cases! ... show more

Hi All, I have huge pores as I have type 2 & 3 Rosecea. I am also in my 50’s with combo skin. So let me tell you of my foundation journey. My BFF daughter is getting married in July 2022, I have been trying to find something any thing that I can wear as foundation and not make my pores look like craters with yucky goo in them. I researched online and have spend a small fortune on foundations all claiming to not settle into pores. Well they all lied, It, Smashbox, MAC, Il Makiage, Estée Lauder, they ALL SETTLED INTO MY PORES. I did everything a person can think to do to try not to have foundation, dive into pores. Spending a fortune on foundation that made me look horrid. I had decided to just west DRMTLGY tinted moisturizer SPF and to heck with everything. Then Jane Iredale came into my life. I honestly didn’t have any hopes left. But I tried it on last night, the clouds parted, angels sang and my pores are gunk free. I mean some of the craters are big enough to have zip codes, a gift of type 4 Rosecea. YAY ME! Well Ms. Jane came to the rescue, and gave me a flawless finish look. I had to try it immediately, as time is clicking down. I opened it and applied with a brush, and am over the moon happy. Love this makeup. I sometimes work very long hours (14 hrs) for events and this doesn't clog my pores and make me break out. The color is great, I am a light brown/tan color and it is hard to find makeup that matches our skin tones. It has good coverage, not too heavy and not too light. I was actually told about from my dermatologist when I got contact dermatitis and it covered the temporary marks very well without making it look caked on. However it is also light enough because now that my skin is clear I still wear it, just less of it. ... show more

I've been using this powder for about five years, after my dermatologist recommended it. Every so often I will stray, but then I will come back to it ... It's lightweight, medium coverage (though you can keep applying to get more coverage) and doesn't irritate my face. It also doesn't cake up on me. It's a great everyday powder and you don't need anything under it (i usually just use moisturizer and concealer under my eyes). In my opinion, it's worth the price ... but then again, I have a drawer of failed makeup powders and products, and would rather spend more money on something I know I like. ... show more
