I am using M5 color which is a light color with yellow undertones. First, this is a great, skin friendly product. I have no reaction and I have sensitive skin (psoriasis and skin allergies). For me it is not too light or too heavy. It has a banana yellowish tint which was annoying but I realized once I added the Amazing Base powder (Radiant shade) it looks perfect. I didn't previously use powder on my whole face, but the foundation and powder are not heavy at all and look good all day. I was previously using matte whipped product which had lighter feel and more concealing power and no powder was needed. So this routine takes longer but the result is better with my middle age skin (48yo).

Definitely need to order a shade darker. I received my order in a torn box. That would have been ok however, it was used. I paid full price for new. The tip had make up on it. I was in a bind because I was leaving to go out of town and out of foundation. so I cleaned with alcohol. Love the makeup and willing to pay the price but not for used makeup. I gave it 3 stars because it is good make up. 1 star for used bottle.

This is probably a great foundation for some people, but I hate it. It's a perfect match for my skin tone, but it looks terrible on my skin. It emphasizes every pore and all the texture on my face, it doesn't blend well no matter what I use to blend it, and it has this grainy appearance that adds even more texture. I assume that's because it's mineral makeup. I'm sure this product would be amazing on someone with perfect skin. I, however, have huge pores, acne scarring from my teens and twenties, and a wrinkles because I'm in my mid 30's. This is just the wrong formula for me. The glow time looked even worse. I decided to try Jane iredale foundation again, after trying and hating the glow time foundation, because it has great ingredients, it is recommended by my dermatologist and my esthetician. I love their other products, but the liquid foundation really is best suited for people with minimal skin texture and wrinkles in my opinion. The pure pressed base combined with a hydration spray is a better match for people with skin texture, if you choose to use Jane iredale products. I gave this product 3 stars, because I know Jane iredale makes high quality products, this foundation just wasn't a good match for my skin.

I have light/medium skin that looks like the M2 shade in the pictures but based on reviews about the shades being so much lighter in person, I ordered the M5. It was still SO light! As I was putting it on for the first time, my boyfriend came up behind me laughing and started impersonating a mime... I am returning this and trying the M6. If you have the ability to try the colors on in person at a dermatology clinic or makeup store definitely do, otherwise be prepared that you may need to order a couple different shades before you find the perfect match. Aside from the shade issues, I can tell I'm going to LOVE this! I have been using the loose mineral powder for years and hesitated switching to the liquid because I'm so used to my makeup feeling light, as if I have nothing on. Once this dried it felt exactly like that! Didn't feel sticky or cakey at all.

I do buy 2 different shades to get the perfect shade but its totally worth it. The coverage is amazing and you just need a dot of each shade and it goes a very very long way. I love all of Jane Iredale products. With this foundation I don't have to worry about clogged pores or breakouts, its natural and flawless coverage.. I love it.
