It is DOT approved, and has a padded interior and adjustable strap system. The helmet also has multiple vents that help to keep me cool and comfortable. I totally love the matte black finish and that it is a great value for the price. What I like: The Look: The Flat Black Matte Finish is Awesome DOT approved: The JAGASOL helmet is DOT approved, which means it meets or exceeds the safety standards set by the Department of Transportation. Comfortable: The helmet has a padded interior and a adjustable strap system, making it comfortable to wear for long periods of time. This is a great basic matte black helmet! A tad loser than the other medium size I have, but that could be due to the padding on the inside of my original helmet being on the thicker side. Great helmet it's super comfortable it's easy to put on and take off. It's not overly hot to wear and it looks badarse. Seems like it's made well outta decent materials and has a fantastic chin strap latch it's super easy to buckle and unbuckle

So far this seems to be a very nice helmet (for the price). I hope to never be able to test it's ability to prevent serious injury but I feel a little more confident that it is DOT approved. The helmet arrives in a typical helmet box with the helmet inside in a draw string cloth bag. The helmet looks nice as it's a flat black color. The interior is nicely padded and feels pretty comfortable. I wear a medium and ordered my usual size that fits good. It's a little snug but should break in nicely. The chin strap is adjustable and also features a quick release. The price for this helmet is very affordable and I believe the quality exceeds the price tag.
