I thinking is the best bass in this price range, Active and passive electronics, body is balanced and awesome tones. It just need a good setup out of the box, maybe some new strings ( at least 105s for drop d) only minor imperfections and a really tight elecronics cavity cover (had to hit it with a screwdriver to get it loose). Only complaints: - Arrived with a deep nick in the horn right at the strap button. Assembly process needs better QC. - 9V is only accessible by taking the entire back cover off?! Be prepared in advance if you're gigging! Sounds great with flats though! Decent bargain.

    • Good bass, but....
I had to do a lot more setting up than I did for my Ibanez I had just gotten too. The Jackson's strings were laying on the fret board fretboard so I had to fix that before tuning. With everything fixed it sounds good. 😁

The turn key for tightening the string is broken and I can’t get ahold of anyone to get it fixed or send it back.

    • IMPRESSIVE FOR THE MONEY
I’m a beginner on the bass. It has a whole different feeling than an acoustic guitar, of which I’m now physically unable to play. It’s more like a percussion instrument, with a big, wide fret board that gives my fingers more room to avoid damping adjacent strings.
