I ordered two of these items at the same time. They were renewed packages. Both came missing two items that are described in the manual as being in the box. The solar panel hub that is shown in the pictures when you buy the 40 watt mini solar panels separately, was not in the boxes as I expected. I had the option to return both, but called Jackery first to see if they would provide the items that appeared in the pictures when buying the solar panels separately from a power bank. Before I had called Jackery, out of curiosity, I went to their website and opened their accessory catalog and this USB hub accessory, that allows you to charge a phone or tablet directly from the solar panel without the need of the power bank , wasn’t even available in their accessory catalog. They promised they would send me one of those items for each kit I purchased. They ended up sending me the wrong items and probably spent approximately 2 1/2 hours on the phone with them, sent them six pictures where I over typed Information drew circles and arrows to make sure that they would send me the correct items the next time. In all, I made four trips to my post office box before getting all the things I expected. Plus of course the original trip to pick up the two Solar Generator kits from Amazon delivery station. Two of their technical support people, told me that information on jackery‘s website about an accessory for combining my two 40 watt solar panels into either of my two Explore 300 Plus Power Banks, that the solar panel combiner cable could be used with, was actually not accurate on their website. They ended up giving me some compensation for my troubles, but the compensation came way short of the value of the aggravation that Jackery put me through!!! Veterans with PTSD, people with bipolar disease, ADHD and other similar challenges, I suggest cutting off your own head before doing business with Jackery and saving your self a lot of headaches…

This was my first Refurbished purchase via Amazon. Typically, I prefer new devices, especially given horror stories of people receiving incorrect or fraudulent used devices via other vendor sites. But the price-point was phenomenal for something that will sit outside of camping season and emergencies. To my surprise, it came in new with all of the stickers still in place. The only evidence that it was "used" was that the initial packaging security-sticker (the circular clear one that goes over the package opening) showed it had been carefully removed and replaced, as well as some "dust" on the model (which could have been from the cardboard). All internal boxes, stickers, and even manuals were pristine. To be fair, I would consider this an "open box" and not a used/refurbished device. Your experience may vary, but I felt like I got a great price on a device. Great quality, hope I don't have to update this review with a negative one.

A friend got me the Jackery 1000 with solar panels for my mobile jewelry van. I'm still using it IN home base to avoid tripping a circuit breaker, plugged in, as my kitchen power is not set up for multiple coffee appliances. :) And I still take it and the panels along for road-trip gem/jewelry shows. The little guy I just got, a return/resold Jackery 300 with its solar panels, is PERFECT for running my low amp/low draw flex-shaft at one day shows. It's light, easy to use, easy to carry, and I'm thrilled to once again be a Jackery user. :)

Update: 15MAY2025 Jackery customer service has proven to be top notch for me. They are quick to respond and provided me two solutions. Firstly they sent out an updated usb-c to dc adapter for my solar panel. This helped alleviate some of the leverage on the input port. Secondly, after I explained it didnt really solve my problem they sent out a replacement unit to rule out a faulty/loose port. The new port is a bit snugger and Im very pleased that they continued to work with me on customer satisfaction. I would give them 5 stars total but I still wish the solar input for this model was somethings other port than a USB-C. In the end Im keeping this unit and definitely purchasing more Jackery products in the future because of the confidence I have in thier custimer service. Original- This model only supports usb-c solar input. The included adapter to their jackery panel is effective BUT the connection is very loose. I see this as an easy to break issue. It sticks out and the weight of the adapter plus cable puts constant leverage on the usb-c port. The other issue is good luck finding adapters to connect any other panel you have to this set up. As its own small scale back up portable power it is well-made. To me these small scale power stations don’t make much sense for emergency back up at home unless you have a small medical device. The amount of time they can power a TV, internet, etc doesn’t seem worth a hassle of getting it out and setting it up. It would keep your phones charged and provides a little bit of light for staying connected. I wanted to use this camping for a tent fan and other small power needs with the benefit of charging it during the day while I’m out doing other things. You can do that, but I’m not confident that the charge cable situation for the solar is going to be durable. It also did not come with a car adapter but those are cheap. To charge it from your car you will want to use a 12 V socket adapter with a higher wattage capable cable. If you try to charge from one of the preinstalled USB ports in your car it’s going to be a low wattage super slow charge
