The Jackery 500 is a powerful little beast. About the size of a car battery, with a hardened plastic exterior and lots of outlets. One night recently we were camping and the heat was unbearable. We had two tents about 25 feet apart. I put a splitter on the Jackery’s 120v power outlet (not recommended) and ran a well insulated extension cord from one tent to the other. I had one fan in my tent and another in my son’s tent. We ran them all night, while simultaneously lighting up my tent with two Jackery lights (using one of the included USB ports) from about 8p to 11p. I was also charging up two iPhones in my tent using the other two USB ports. Unbeknownst to me, my son, in the other tent, put on another splitter at the end of the extension cord and not only ran his fan, but also charged his phone and his laptop. He said he was watching Netflix long after the grownups fell asleep. :) Anyway, the Jackery held its own and stayed on all night and finally ran out of juice around 6am. The next day I set up the solar panel outside and let the Jackery charge, and by the time we came back from hiking for lunch the battery was at about 50%. I realigned the solar panel and it picked up another 40% by about 5pm which let us use it overnight again, but this time we used a smaller load. Great product with lots of versatility and power outlet options. Top notch product and incredibly durable. (Note - the solar panel was bought separately.) Worth noting it comes with a car charger, so you can charge while you are driving, or charge it using a regular 120v plug (cable also included,) or you can buy the solar panel and charge it that way. For outputs- It has three USB outlets, a 120v grounded outlet plug AND a car-style outlet. It also has a digital display that tells you how much power you’re using, and how much battery life is left. And when you’re charging it up again, it tells you how much you’ve charged, and displays the wattage coming in from the solar panel or other powering source. As I said, it’s incredibly versatile, lightweight and gets the job done.

I hate to leave very positive reviews on something expensive in case it breaks later, but this is a giant battery and I don't think it'll be breaking. So far it works great. We have tested it only, never had to use it yet but I'm sure that day is coming soon. I got this for power outages because even though I live in a city, the power company can't seem to keep the power on even for small storms. This will be handier to use and much easier to carry than our the car battery we had been trying to use before, attached to a converter. I just wish it had one more AC outlet. There is only one. I bought a "warehouse" version of this battery and it seemed to be brand new when I opened the box, so I guess we got lucky.

I use this to power up multiple items during vendor and craft shows and this normally last for at least 8 hours. I love being outdoors away from any power outlet and being able to use my machines. It does not take too long to charge and it does not weigh too much.

I really needed a portable power source during stops. I have a 300w mini heater to reduce cold &/or humidity to an uninsulated van without draining its battery. It arrived in 1 week from CA! Looks practically new, too! First time, it charged up to 99%. Then I tried charging it with a 100w Jackery solar panel in full northern sun (Sep). Incoming charging fluctuated btw 65-85w at roughly 10w, but increased rapidly as it neared 82%. I topped it off with 110v due to time contraints & it reached the full 100%. I will update this review after I try all the plugs. Thank you Amazon!!

I live in an Airstream where my solar shuts down around bedtime and everything shuts down . Keeps everything operational (tv, internet, electric blanket, etc) very well into the morning when the solar recharges the unit again. Peace of mind and best purchase!

Great 👍 performance for a small off grid generator and solar panel, takes a few hours to charge with either ac lug or twice as long with 100w solar panel, but I have definitely used it on a daily basis for over a year and still using it as I write this review. Absolutely recommend if you want a cheap source of power to get you by for awhile 👍
