Off-grid cabin, isolated, should be hearing only animal and bird noises!! But that is difficult when only getting power from the gasoline powered generator that powers the fridge to keep our food cold and our lights on. But then along came Jackery... of course, we weren't sure how well they would perform, but now I can say they are one of the best investments for the cabin that we have made. Now, I run the Honda 6500 inverter (a superb gasoline powered generator, and relatively quiet too) for about 2.5 hours in the morning, and the same in the evening to charge the 3 Jackerys, and can hear the birds and animals in the woods clearly all the rest of the time... even heard Bigfoot last fall!! JK. An added bonus is having power all night to keep the fridges going instead of shutting the Honda down at bed time and hoping our food didn't warm up too much before morning. Sure, kind of spendy, but think of how much gas you won't need, and how many oil changes the wife won't have to do!!

These are a great option for the correct Jackery base stations. I have four, bought at different times as I wanted and could afford more backup. Great way to add capacity while still having a reasonable weight to move around. The only downsides are: 1. You do have to turn the base station on/off to add/remove from the base station. You can't just swap in a newly charged unit (using another base station to charge). 2. You can charge it with a generator while using the base station, but your power out is limited to 1500 watts, and exceeding that will turn the base station off (per the manual--I haven't done that). Apparently solar charging isn't as limited, but I don't have a solar panel to try. 3. The base station will not let you set how the power is used--either first before the base station or simultaneously. And in fact, it seems to do different things at different times. All those things are minor though. Overall these work well.

This stacks on my main 2000 plus unit. We like that it is powerful without weighing too much to move around. LifePO4 battery will last for years. We also like the portability to use it camping or for home back up. We can also charge this battery pack separately with our Jackery solar panels.
