Though I know it's 1/2 lb, but honestly, the "family size" description confuse me. I see that and I am thinking it should be enough. But this is probably a bag that would be only enough for me. So I would honestly just not label this as "family size", definitely not.

I ORDER ABOUT ONE PER MONTH MAINLY DUE TO PRICE. THESE DO HAVE A GREAT FLAVOR. WHEN THEY ARRIVE I CUT THEM INTO 3/4 TO 1 INCH PIECES AND STORE WITH MOISTURE POUCH IN A SMALL CONTAINER. I TRY TO WAIT ABOUT 3 DAYS BEFORE STARTING TO EAT. THAT GIVES THEM TIME TO DRY OUT A LITTLE MORE, WHICH IS THEY WAY I ENJOY THEM A LITTLE BETTER. Extreme levels of flavor! If you are looking for something very saucy, this is it! Most of the pieces are quite big. Not a package of little bits. Maintains moisture very well. I've left packages slightly open before and they never dried out. Maybe 1 or 2 fatty pieces in the whole thing. That's it. Very good stuff! Would like it to be a little cheaper, but I still buy it. Its great. Nice and heavy bags. Last longer than you'd expect, if you treat them as a snack and not a meal that is. haha! ... show more

Even though the 'best by' date is two years from now, both bags of jerky were incredibly stale and tough even by jerky standards. I don't know if it was the conditions of the warehouse that caused this. While I waited for my order, I bought the same flavor and brand of jerky while at the grocery store and their stock was fresh. This is not exceptional jerky. It tends to be a crapshoot for freshness. The teriyaki flavor is less than stellar. Why do you buy this one? It’s cheap. It doesn’t taste like weird fish jerky like other budget brands I’ve tried (looking at you World Kitchens) and while how soft or hard is seemingly random, the quality barring that metric has been pretty well consistently ok. ... show more
