From the Manufacturer Hi-Control of Hi-Precision work featuring the ultimate in air control directly at the nozzle with Iwata?s new Micro Air Control (MAC) Valve Technology, the Hi-Line Series doesn?t just change air pressure instantly it changes the way you airbrush. Designed for artists who need extreme control of detailed spraying, this series uses larger diameter threads on the nozzle than the High Performance Series. This makes the nozzle much stronger when tightening it onto the airbrush and ensures better centering of the nozzle when it screws onto the airbrush body. • Bettter then Iwata Eclipse HP CS
I think that I should have never own an Iwata Eclipse HP CS this airbrush cost just a hair more but it is for sure a huge step up. This is a great all around airbrush it has the ability for you to spray almost any type of paint createx spectratex wicked auto air inks. it is also over build and super well made heavy compared to my detail airbrushes like my Badger Sotar 20/20 and Harder & Steenbeck infinity, it has the best finish. The fine line and the detail part is what I love about it. It feels beautiful in the hand but it is no Infinity and no Sotar it is the airbrush that you use for 70% of a paint job with out tip dry and love using it. It make all the big to medium areas of any painting easy I used it a lot and then which to a true detail airbrush like my infinity which is a better airbrush. My only problem are it is heavy like all Iwata airbrushes the paint tip is tiny and hard to clean and hard to screw in and remove with out fear of damaging it by over torque the tiny tip. I love what this airbrush can do and how well it cleans up. The cup does wear a little and losses some chrome over time if you paint a lot but all airbrushes do.The trigger is smooth and easy to control. it is almost weightless to pull back and to push forward. The over all feeling is silky smooth. I am a fan for sure. It is a better value then the stand Eclipse or the Kustom but cost just a little more so why do they make them I have no Idea. ... show more

  • The MAC valve is pretty handy to have on the gun itself
This is a very solid upgrade on the classic Iwata HP C design. The MAC valve is pretty handy to have on the gun itself, although the external MAC is also a good option. I've found this gun to be smoother than the classic HP-C, with a better designed cup. The action is classic IWATA, the metal is solid and the overall feel is of a professional gun. I've used it with acrylic, ink and even alkyd. As with any airbrush, proper maintenance will make a big difference. If you don't need the MAC valve, Amazon sells the High Performance version of the C for $50 less. There are some subtle differences between the models that the typical user won't notice. For the professional illustrator these differences may make quite a difference. I have half the entire range of Iwata guns (including two custom microns), and I use this brush a lot for sketching and for art. It is not quite as slick as my custom microns, nor my harder and steenbeck infiniti CR Plus, but it is a solid professional tool that is beyond what the average airbrusher needs. Solid value. ... show more

  • Awesome airbrush
The first airbrush I ever had was an iwata that I got from my dad, and it was the best airbrush I've used, I've had many many more airbrushed from different brands and models, but for myself the iwata company makes the best and most accurate airbrush on the market. It provides perfect comfort and control that you can get in an airbrush. It is definitely worth the cost and you'll see it in your artwork. I plan on getting other models of iwata airbrushed for the studio. Love it 😊 ... show more

  • A Symphony of Perfection
What do you make when you have 40 years of experience being the industry leader in airbrushing…you make this masterpiece of perfection. I’ll admit when I bought this I was skeptical because of the price tag, but ohhh how I was wrong. This product needs no reviews, there is a reason all the pro’s use it. To put this in perspective, I just used this brush with (7) completely full refills of paint with NO CLOGGING OR CLEANING NECESSARY!…I could’ve kept going but I finished the color, and then when it came time to clean it, it was as if I had barely used it. The action is so smooth it feels as if you were carving butter. The flow of paint is so even and smooth it looks as if it was printed from a machine. I have 8 other airbrushes from various manufacturers, but NONE can even compare to this one. ... show more

  • Amazing control and quality
I have been using the Paasche Talon and Vision air brushes for two years now. They were my first two air brushes and I spent the last two years learning air brushing with these brushes. They are OK but now that I have this Iwata HP CH, I can’t believe what an amazing step up it is. The paasche air brushes are so crude in comparison and I had tip dry and clogs constantly. Using the same paint and flow improver mixes, I have not had a single clog with this Iwata brush. In addition, the atomization is so much finer. The Paasche brushes give you very little modulation of air or paint flow. The Iwata is incredibly fluid in the modulation. This leads to incrdibly precise control as compared to the Paasche brushes. I only wish I had spent the money on this brush two years ago. ... show more

  • Best for miniature painting
My father is a professional artist and swears by Iwata. We have tried several; paasche, badger, master, grex, H&S... these are all good, but Iwata is the best.

  • The real deal
Im more than happy to say that is the real deal in fact, one if not the best all rounder airbrush money can buy, the seller is top notch, no funny businesses and good packaging, I know buying a high calibre airbrush may seem scary with fear of counterfeiters and bad packaging but as long as you do your research and buy from a reputable place (such as this) you will be OK!. ... show more

  • Best value for money in Iwata range
If you do illustration or paint models or miniatures this is the best all around gun you can buy. It sprays broadly enough to prime and fill larger areas and finely enough for small details. The MAC valve and trigger lock are very useful features. Build quality is peerless. Cleaning is easy. The price at the time of review is fantastic - $239 US. Purchased on Amazon From Hyatt’s All Things Creative. One word of warning and the reason I am giving 4 stars instead of the 5 this gun deserves, is it does not include the clam shell case pictured in the product photos. For the price I think this is fine, but the photos are misleading. ... show more
