Frequently asked questions

The IYV IJZ-300 TSB is a guitar designed for versatility, but with its solid hollow-body construction, it is particularly well-suited for jazz, blues, and classic rock. The semi-acoustic design provides a warm, rich tone that complements these genres exceptionally well.

Accessories are not typically included with the purchase of the guitar itself. You would usually need to buy items like a case, strap, tuner, and picks separately.

While the IYV IJZ-300 TSB can be played by beginners, its design and features are more tailored towards intermediate or advanced players who can take full advantage of its tonal qualities and playability for jazz and similar music styles.

The IYV IJZ-300 TSB typically has a standard scale length for electric guitars, which is commonly around 24.7 to 25.5 inches. It is designed to provide comfortable playability and proper tension for its strings.

  • Really nice!
This guitar is beautiful and plays great! It's a great value and is built way above its price point. It was quite playable right out of the box, but I did do a bit of a setup on it for my own personal taste. 1st off, I put on new strings. The originals felt kinda cheap and didn't hold tune very well. While they were off, I polished the frets ( personal taste... they didn't really need much) and oiled the fretboard. I did notice a little unevenness with the inlays, but i dont feel anything while playing, and i think they look great. No other issues with the fretboard and the binding and fretwork is terrific! I put on a set on heavier guage strings, for a "jazzier" sound, and did a minor truss rod adjustment to compensate for the increased tension, and checked the intonation of each string. I only needed very minor adjustments as the intonation was pretty much spot on from the factory! I also adjusted the pickup heights a bit, but other than that, everything looked and sounded great! Plugged in, this guitar really sings! I spent several hours playing just about everything I know, and having a blast! It really plays well and sounds fantastic! Jazz, country, rock, blues,... all can be part of this guitar's repertoire. It takes overdrive well, but not too much gain or it will feed back - it is a semi-hollow after all. But all In all, it's just a great, very playable guitar! ... show more

  • IYV IJZ-300 TSB Jazz Solid hollow-Body Electric Guitar, Tobacco Sunburst
Hello everyone. First of all, let us get this out of the way. When someone purchases a guitar (whether it is used, refurbished, displayed model, with minor imperfection, or a new one) at some point you are going to set the action, set the intonation, treat the fret board, file the fret ends, replace/modify the knobs/switches/bridge/strings/pickups/neck/etc. to your preference. It is no difference when you buy your vehicle. Eventually, you are going to change/add/replace/modify items on your vehicle to your liking. And that is fine. With that said, please do not count these components as a negative criticism towards these guitars. Let us just focus on the guitar itself. With minor tuning and neck adjustments, these guitars are ready to play right out of the box. As you know, minor tuning and neck adjustments are common with any guitar you purchase. The finish, quality, and construction of these guitars are awesome. The headstock is eye-catching. The neck is straight. The frets do not have dents/divots and are smooth (no sharp edges). The fret board is fine. The body is beautiful. The joints/seems are connected to satisfactory. The hardware (pickup selector or switch/output or input jack/volume & tone knobs or controls/bridge/pickups/pick guard/tuners/electronics/screws/nuts/strap buttons/fret or inlay markers/fret nut) are nice, functional, and tight. There may be some small blemishes or cloudy finishes here and there, fret board might have some kind of dye on it, but nothing really significant that would cause you NOT to play the guitar immediately. I’ve made NO modifications or changed any components on this guitar and had no major issue with feedback noise, guitar getting out of tune from hours of play, components getting loose or not working, breaking strings, electrical issues, etc. Again, everyone has their option on what they consider feedback, guitar out of tune, components getting loose or not working, breaking strings, electrical issues, etc. And that is okay. It also varies on the equipment (amps/stacks/pedals/cables/etc.) you use and how you play these guitars. In conclusion, these guitars are attractive, feel great, look fabulous, sound terrific, entice you to play them and definitely fun to play. I’m sold and I’m a HUGE fan of the IYV Guitars! I wished I could have purchased the earlier models when they first came out. If I had the money, I would buy all the IYV models. For a guitar under $200.00 and with no shipping fees, these guitars are an excellent investment! I will say it again. Not only are these guitars gorgeous, but they are also a pleasure to play. I hope IYV will continue to produce new models or have older models available because I am excited in purchasing them in the future. Thank you IYV Guitar company/staff for producing this magnificent product! ... show more

  • Check this one out!
After spending several hours with this guitar over the last 4 days I think it's a keeper! Very nice looking, well made and assembled with a very thick face (3/16 in or close) and i am assuming the back as well. Some minor cosmetic issues but I would be the only one to notice. Nice response from the volume and tone controls. Pickups sound nice, selector and cord recptical crisp. The string tuners are ok but a couple of them are a little sloppy. If you don't like the Asian symbols on the truss cover just flip it over. It's plain on the other side. Bottom line is I am going to buy a nice set of tuners and take it in to a local luthier I have used before. Have him install the tuners with new strings, fine tune the truss and intonation and any other tweaks, not necessarily in that order. I should have a very nice git box for under 300 bucks. I only give 4 stars because of the tuners and it took over two weeks to get it even though it was supposedly in stock. If you are on a budget and you want a guitar that is not junk, this would not be a bad option... ... show more
