for the most part, no matter the "Costs" be at a big store or online, "EVERY Instrument" WILL need some adjustments, and with a few simple tools, can be done in about 30 min to 45 min, in todays tech with Manufacturing processes with more and More CNC made instruments, as a Instrument Tech, its harder and Harder to find "Bad Ones" unless there Used, these seem to be Pretty good!, the Necks are good and true for easier Truss Rod Adjustments, frets were in good condition! not needing any fret leveling, or any sharp points? or needed rounding. Intonation settings were good! considering the Shipping Processes, of the possible Humidity, or heat, or anything else to which always a good idea to let a "Wood Insturment" settle in for a bit, even over night. and with having "Active Electronics"! was in a Price range where at a $1,000+ be the Norm! and with this had all the better Tonal adjustments to put darn close to the Pitchers Mound!! not bad for a Bass under $250.00!!! one would expect this to be and NOW plays i can say? head to head with a bass costing 5 times as much, for a Beginner? would not say great to start on a 5 sting? only because of its "Learning Curve" on how to Mute the low B string as most will say, but not hard, just "Different" but? can make easier for cord transitions in many cases. over all if one bought this, and was not sure how to set up? it would still BE WORTH!! the money considering the overall "Looks"! and tuning keys that had no Slop! tuned great! and the Adjustments and ease of Adjustments, Pickups!! with good Balance! from Jazzy Pop! to hard METAL! easy! worth the Money 100%

I think this is quite a nice bass. It has a really nice feel, very pleasant to play on. I've had to fiddle with the truss rod and bridge to get to action to a point I like. Out of the box, the action was super low with lots of rattle. Maybe some people will like it like that, but I didn't. There might be something a bit weird with the truss rod, initially it turned with no resistance, but then it seemed to engage, don't know exactly what's going on in there, hopefully it will keep its tension. The fretboard has no inlays of any kind, which is very unusual. Not even dots. That worried me initially, cause I thought I needed the inlays but it turns out I don't really. The neck does have the usual markers on the top edge, and that's enough of a cue. The bass looks really nice, I would call it attractive. The wood top appears to be a separate piece pasted on, not sure what you call it, an applique? But it's attractive, and from comparing mine to other pictures, seems to be a unique wood pattern on each instrument, which is nice. It's neck-through-body, which is slick. As far as the sound, seems fine to me. I think the B string could have more power, maybe on a larger amp it would come through more (I have a Rumble 100W). Or maybe different strings would give more output. It uses two 9v batteries, I have no idea why. Comparing it to the natural-wood-body Bullfighter, the Bullfighter has much hotter output with just one 9v battery. So I don't know what you get from the double battery. I have the volume up all the way, whereas on the Bullfighter I have to turn the volume way down or fart out the amp. Just seems like modest output on the IYV. But still a nice bass to play on. Might work best with a bigger amp is my thinking.

Nice bass that plays above its price point. Neck through design with their 18v active pickups give this bass a sound and sustain all its own. No sharp frets, no dead spots, tweak to one saddle and she was ready to thump. The 18v electronics are good quality and the pups sound great stock. The satin finish that looks amazing on the walnut and I could not find one finish flaw on this bass. Battery compartment was the low point, breaking on me on first open, but that is a small, cheap fix. This was a great purchase, grab one while you can.

After searching for over a month for a nice practice bass, I was about to by a Chinese made when I found this one, (Vietnam). Came right away but the shipper was the guitar box with some shipping damage, but to my surprise the bass was untouched. I went over it for about an hour and only defect found was a small chip on the wide end of the fret board. This is a $700 knock-off, all made on a CNC- (Ibanez, ESP-LTD, Yamaha, etc.). The bridge is quality modern equipment, the turners are ok, the pickups are CNC wound, 3 band passive; 3 lower controls are low, mid, and hi, 18 volt pre-amp for some enhancement pull volume knob for power "off" and the 5th is a fade between bridge and neck pick up, (knobs are painted) . The bridge is made also for thru body stringing if wanted for possibly better sustain. They glued the fret board and body together and ran it on the CNC, turn and finish it, and then a light sands and some wood stain or oil, put it together and shipped it. It is functional but took 3 hours to set up, and I supper strat it; (polish neck and lower frets and board) adjust the neck, finish sand different areas finish trim the plastic cover and sand finish some wood work, remove some factory grime and splats, wiring looks good. Came with D’Addario med. strings. After striating the neck, it was surprisingly very strait, nice frets on ebony. I lowered the action (low), with slight fret buzz which I fixed and it attenuated nice, 24 fret, narrow neck, solid one piece rigid body, light weight and BEAUTIFUL even with the CNC marks. Oh, and it plays nice! Now for the Price, I would buy them all up if I had the money I would finish them and turn them around for much more than what they cost. This is a very nice project bass guitar; some finishing involved and will need to be set up to play. At some point I will finish sand and detail but now its time to play.
