Our living room is done in a black and white wood motif, and this desk matches perfectly. It's solidly built and fits together without any problems. Be prepared to spend a couple of hours putting it together; there are a lot of pieces. All the components survived shipping with zero damage. Whew! The 38 assembly steps fill a small book, and you will have to study the pictures carefully. Each part is numbered with removable labels and the instructions identify the parts used in each step. There are a few tools required to put it together, but assembly should be within the reach of most people. Plan on having help as it's heavy. The end result is a solid, attractive desk with smoothly-sliding drawers. I thought it was a bit expensive, but I think the quality justifies the price. ... show more

LOVE this desk. My husband loves it and feels it is a good fit for a man to use. Only drawback is that it doesn't have the center drawer typically used for pens, pencils, rulers and the like. I don't lower the stars because it's what we picked having seen it was absent. Drawers are a bit shallow and not super deep. My husband being retired now doesn't need all the space he used to.... thus it is perfect for what we need. Functional, absolutely beautiful and a reasonable price. If your office chairs have arms .... measure first. Ours didn't fit under the desk. My bad... didn't measure. Liked everything else and am happy with the purchase. Little challenging to put together but was built and had no 'extra parts.' lol ... show more

Put this together myself and love the look of it and the size is perfect. Only flaw was when assembling the bottom file drawer, the tracks did not line up no matter what I did following the directions, so I now have a faulty drawer. Other than that the assembly was straightforward.

The Box arrived earlier than promised and was in pretty good shape with no damaged parts. The desk is very sturdy and well constructed when assembled. Instructions are picture but everything is well labeled. If you pay attention the assembly is not difficult, just take your time. The handles are metal and the surface of the top seems very resistant to scratching. Both drawers seem to have a decent amount of storage and the bottom file drawer is adjustable for letter, legal, or larger hanging files. I feel like it's great quality for the price ... show more

This desk is perfect for my work from home set up! It’s very sturdy, it looks amazing, and the drawers are smooth shutting/opening. The instructions are pretty easy to follow, you just have to pay attention, and follow step by step. I built the entire desk in 4 hours by myself, probably would have been faster with help- there is about 40 pieces total. All pieces are numbered and explained in the instructions. There was one spot that did not align as I thought it should, but you can’t even tell once the desk is fully built. ... show more

This desk is great. Arrived on time and was packed well. Assembly was easy. Just follow the instructions and it is not difficult. Pieces all fit well together and is quite sturdy. The power outlet is an added bonus. For a desk this size the price was more than reasonable.
