I would like to start by saying I work in manufacturing and I understand blueprints and mechanical assembly pretty well. With that being said. The reviews do not lie. This thing is a MAJOR pain in the rear end to assemble. There were countless curse words coming out my mouth while assembling this thing. I will say the instructions themselves were pretty clear and I didn’t have a hard time following them at all. It’s more of trying to line up the predrilled holes and get a screw into the tapped holes. Pain in the ***. Also they did not provide enough screws for the installation of the lifting mechanism. A bummer but a quick trip to Home Depot solved that problem. Beyond that I have no complaints. It is a very nice coffee table and the height of it while the table top is lifted is perfect for eating off while sitting on a couch. It is quite tall for a normal coffee table but that is exactly what I wanted so no complaints there. Only other bad thing I can say is the material itself is very susceptible to get dirty and show condensation marks very easily. I went out and bought table top adhesive liner and installed that on the table top surfaces that shows as it did drive me a little mad (ocd) overall great and solid piece of furniture…once you get passed the difficult assembly. I will say I assembled this solo. If you had a helper it would probably be a lot easier as they can help hold the pieces in place while you install the screws ... show more

Man is it heavy. Once it's put together this thing is like a boulder. I tripped and fell into our last table and it broke into smithereens...I fell on to this one and hurt myself.. table didn't budge. (I have a tripping problem) So this bad boy is as stable as can be! For the price you get storage and the light is pretty neat if you want some added coolness to the table. I'd say it's pretty easy to be transitioned into either the full table top or back into just the coffee table size. My child was able to easily open it up! It comfortably fits four people around it. It's definitely worth the price and it was easy to put together ..just lost of pieces. Definitely a good purchase! ... show more

Took about two hours from removing pieces from box to installing felt pads at the end. One piece had to be adjusted because the groove wasn't aligning properly, otherwise this went together easily enough. The drawers are very flimsy I wouldn't more than a couple of items in them. By far one of the best things I have purchased off Amazon. My entire family loves it. Great on game days to watch football, we just open it up and then put out all the snacks. Saves on space when it's not opened up. It is a two-man job putting it together. Took a little bit of time. It requires being plugged in for the lights but I don't want to have a cord laying across the floor. I’m very happy with this table! Perfect for my studio apartment! The assembly took several hours but I got it done within the same day by myself. It’s a very sturdy piece of furniture and definitely gonna last a while.

Took off stars because every time the tray table comes off, it scratches the wood above. Not an huge deal because we’ll probably never use that tray except to stabilize the table over it, but I’m worried it’ll become a problem after a while. Also, the holes for the hydronic lift didn’t align. Again, something that could be a problem in the future. Lastly, the lights require an outlet, so unless you have an outlet in the middle of your floor, they’re basically useless. Other than that, it’s the perfect height for our super low sofa, and enables us to eat dinner while watching tv. It’s also stable enough that my crazy cat can jump on it without knocking it over like he did with tray tables. ... show more
