You had better deflate this Immediately after taking it from the water. Seams are glued, not welded. Handles like a battleship! But has plenty of room for attaching your fishing gear/adventure equipment.

So much fun, this board is worth it!

I've been paddle boarding a few times on rental boards and my child loves it too. I decided it was time get get my own SUP but wanted an inflatable because it is easier to transport and store. I was a little worried about the price point compared to the $150 iSUPs but now after taking it out I have no regrets! I did purchase a pump that hooks up to my vehicle to inflate it as I don't want to spend all my energy pumping it up. Also, my child is 4 and not that patient. My child usually has their PFD on before we can even leave the house so inflation time matters. It says the inflate to 12-15PSI, I did 12 which was perfect for my child and I. It has comfortable handles that work well to carry it. The fin was really easy to lock into place as well as to remove, I was surprised how easy it was. The non slip top is really comfortable and almost soft but not slippery. I really like the top, way better than any board I've tried before. I went for the wider one as my four year old is not as cautious about moving around and I wanted something more stable. This felt very stable compared to other boards I have used. My child moved around and even stood up without me once worrying about going over. However, it doesn't have the mid D rings to add a seat if that is your jam. I have no interest in adding a seat so not a big deal for me. The paddle comes in two pieces but can pull apart into three (not sure why you would want to). It is easy to put together and has a clamp that allows it to adjust and lock in place. I found it easy to use, sturdy and effective for paddling. Once done I paddled up to the dock and my child was able to disembark without trouble. The fin was easy to remove (open clamp, pull out, close clamp). I used my electric pump (purchased separately) to deflate. Then I rolled it up and put it in the carrying bag, which is a top load with a draw string. It also has side pockets and tie downs. The paddleboard, fin, electric pump, patch set, both our PFD's and paddle all fit in the bag together. This board feels really nice, stable and comfortable. I do recommend taking one of those online boating courses for paddle boarding/kayaking as it has some important info. Such as PFD requirements, rules of the water, and what you have to have with you. TL:DR I love this paddleboard, great stability, can't wait to take it out again.

Quality Paddleboard!
I picked up this paddleboard for my oldest niece for her birthday later this year. I wanted to make sure to get her a quality paddleboard. Everything you need is inside the box. It is easy to setup (blow up). It comes with a pump in case you do not have an electric pump (which I am including as part of the gift). I do not know a thing about paddleboards. I picked this one based on the reviews. It is a step above lower priced paddleboards in quality. It is a quality board. It is made of multiple layers and has a non-slip surface. It is wonderful that it comes with a bag to carry the bag along with the accessories. I feel that the bag does not match the quality of the board. They really should have included a better bag. I did not realize that the paddleboard did not come with a leash until I opened the box to look at the contents. I am surprised that the manufacturer did not include one (lower priced boards have them). The paddles are good quality. They are better than lower priced boards. I did not that there are no D-rings to be able to attach a seat back. There are pluses and minuses with this board. I hope my niece likes it. This is a quality, durable paddleboard.

Premium quality mid-range inflatable paddle board, but some key features missing
UPDATE 6/15/2022: I am updating my review to point out a really shady practice that Rave Sports is doing with the reviews. My original (unchanged) review is below and my original rating for the product was 4 stars. I am now updating my rating to 2 stars and including this note to explain why. The company took my original review below, copied it, completely removed the paragraph where I listed some of the issues ("Now, on a disappointing note..." paragraph), and posted the altered version on their website along with a fake 5 stars rating of the product! This is really unacceptable and I hope Amazon will take notice that honest reviews here are being used to fabricate alternative reviews and used on their website. You can see the fake altered review that was copied from mine below here on their site: https://www.ravesports.com/products/akina-isup Original Review: ------------------- I own a few budget inflatable paddle boards that fall within $250 - $350 price range (those boards are perfectly fine for most people for occasional use by the way) but I wanted to get this one to compare. This board is about twice as expensive but still not in the highest price bracket category when it comes to iSUP paddle boards so I expected higher quality comparing to the budget boards and better features. On a good note, this Rave Akina 340 board definitely has a much more premium feel and quality comparing to the low budget boards. The material is thicker and more substantial, seams are more accurate and cleaner, no extra glue anywhere and no sloppy job, and it feels like a really high quality board that would be reliable and can take some abuse if needed. It comes with everything you need - nice quality paddle, dual-action pump, one large fin, and pretty good backpack (not great, but good quality). It comes with a repair kit which includes glue as well (usually you need to buy it separately) which is nice. You can definitely feel the quality from top to bottom and it is a very nice looking board that performs very well. Now, on a disappointing note - I was really surprised that it does not include D-rings around the perimeter in the middle. For the price of this board, it is an absolutely must-have since much cheaper boards have them available and more attachment points is always better. The lack of these attachment points mean that you won't be able to attach a seat for example to make it more kayak-like if you wish. Another disappointment was the lack of a leash... what's up with that? Even the cheapest boards I have seen on Amazon include a leash in the package, so I am really surprised that this premium board does not include this important (safety) feature. In this price range I would actually expect a premium leash included, or at least a basic one. In summary, if you are looking for a quality board that is a step above the cheapest budget boards - this one certainly delivers on that point. It is very well made, good materials, and it should last a long time. However, considering that it costs twice as much as some other offerings I would at least expect it to include a full package so you don't have to buy a leash separately and get all artsy-crafty to add additional D-rings if needed at the perimeter. This was a big downside for me and I would recommend checking out other quality boards in the same mid-range category. Once you get into this mid-price range category ($600 - $700) you have MANY options available to chose from that offer more for the same money so definitely do some comparison.

Expensive and not very impressed with what you get.

Our whole family has paddleboards, so this is our 8th and most expensive board to date. I'm not really impressed. The paddle feels identical to most of the generic kit paddles out there and definitely well below our nice carbon paddles. The single rear fin is a bit of a preferential thing and I prefer the triple-fin setup since I'd rather have a more stable board vs a more maneuverable one. For the cost, I would have liked to see three removable fins similar to some of our other boards, that way you can choose the stability/maneuverability that you want. The carry bag is actually quite nice and feels much better quality than most I-SUP bags I've seen. I didn't realize that this board didn't come with a leash until I went to use it for the first time. Fortunately I had a spare leash in the car, but I'm still surprised that one wasn't included considering how important it is to keep your board from escaping if you fall off. This is the only board I've seen where one wasn't included. The quality of the board itself feels (very subjective) slightly better than the really low end $150 boards, but doesn't feel any better than the $300-$400 boards that are about half the cost of this one. I was disappointed that it only has a handle up front and a single handle in the middle as I've become accustomed to boards with several handle locations that make for much easier moving/pulling when entering and exiting the water as well as for kids to be able to pull themselves back up if they off in the water. The lack of D-Rings is also disappointing, I have several boards with the rings and several without and this one is sitting near the bottom of the pack with the cheapest boards that omitted the additional D-rings. On a more positive note, the deck feels really nice with heavily textured foam covering most of the surface area. And a final note, the color scheme does look nice and sharp. So the best things about this board are the color scheme and the carry case.... When inflatable paddleboards came out, they were pretty expensive as it was a brand new technology. That technology has matured and dropped in price so you can now get a pretty solid inflatable board for around 300 which begs the question "what is different or better about this board to make it worth more?" Perhaps the internals have something special, but I didn't see anything in their product literature that indicates they have anything that is unique or better than all the other boards out there. If this board was half the cost or had better features, I'd be giving it higher marks, but for this kind of money I would shop around.

Beautiful, Stable Board
I own several paddle boards in the $200-$350 price range and they have all served me well over the years, however have their downfalls. One being the D rings at the end of the board which are pretty uncomfortable with anyone whose legs are long and rest on them. Second being that they can sometimes be a bit wobbly if you are a heavier person so takes a little more effort than it would with a more stable board. Both of those complaints though aren’t deal breakers if you don’t use board too often.. If you paddle board often though, a good mid range price board like the Akina 340 is excellent. This board is made much more solid and the material feels much more quality than the more budget friendly boards I own. It is also much longer and sturdy making it a great board for both lightweight folks or heavier individuals as you are going to feel a great deal more stable when riding this. The paddle is also super nice in comparison to a cheaper board although I was disappointed at this price point that board does not come with a leash for your paddle- I feel like this should be an absolute given for anyone paying upwards of $500 on a board. My other complaint would be that there is no D ring at the top of the board so you’re unable to attach a seat to it like some of the other SUP boards come with - having a kayak seat is nice sometimes and I’m bummed this doesn’t have the capability to be converted to that. I suppose I could rig something up if I really wanted to. Other then the couple minor complaints, this board is beautiful and is of really nice quality. It may seem pricy, but in return you get a super stable board that will provide you hours of fun.

Excellent mid-range all-purpose iSUP
I'd classify this as a higher-end mid-range board if that makes sense. You can find boards significantly less expensive on Amazon, not too many at a higher price point - for those you'd need to go with established name brands (Red, Sol, etc.) that are NOT made in China and on another level altogether. So at this price you're expecting a level of quality that's noticeable vs. lesser models. I'd say overall you get that w/ Rave Sports offerings. We evaluated the 11'2" x 34" Akina and 10'6" x 32" Itasca. Some observations: 1. Oddly, the shorter Itasca has a 6 D-ring bungee cargo stash whereas the longer Akina only has a 4 D-ring configuation. Makes NO sense to me at all! Sorry...that's a miss on the Akina. 2. These boards do not come with leashes. Sorry...another miss. Boards at much lower price points include leashes - Rave should include them as well. And decent ones with a quick-release and reasonable width, not the cheesy ones you sometimes get w/ the Chinese stuff. 3. Bags are adequate but not outstanding. They are top-loading w/ drawstring closure, vs. side-loading via a zipper opening. Again - at this price point, feels like they skimped a little on the bags. 4. Paddles they did not skimp on - better quality that what you typically find in this range. That's a win. 5. Can't rate the pumps as we use powered high-pressure pumps as any sane person does who likes to iSUP! 6. Fin system - also a bit of a miss (sorry!). They use a proprietary fin lock - not standard US box fin, or the slide-in w/ clip retention system you also often see. The problem w/ proprietary systems is that they are sometimes hard to find replacements for if you lose or damage a fin. So be careful, or reach out to Rave to see about getting a spare. My advice. 7. Performance - now we're getting somewhere. Wide, stable, good all-purpose SUP suitable for a broad range of skill levels. 8. Quality of board - it's definitely there. You can look at a board in the $300 range vs. these and clearly see the difference in materials and workmanship. Verdict - if you're willing to spend a little more money, I think you'll be very happy with how these perform.

I'm not impressed for this price point

I'll be contacting RAVE and expecting some customer service for sure. Let's start with the problems, shall we? 1) This iSUP costs over $700 but does not come with an ankle strap. While a minor detail it's annoying and just icing on the failure cake. iSUP's like my daughters cost hundreds less and come with the ankle strap. You have to have it and it's silly to not include it. 2) The board calls for inflation to 1 bar (15 PSI) but I'm here to tell you that isn't enough. At 1 bar the board was creasing at the center, lifting the front and back slightly from the water and causing water to go on top of the board. Standing was a joke at this rating. I inflated to 16 PSI and that helped, but not enough. My daughters cheap iSUP is rated for 1 bar as well and when inflated to that rating is SOLID. Again for over $700 this isn't something I should have to calculate myself. 3) The FIN.....well I do not have one anymore. Mine was gone in less than ten minutes. Why? The clunky lock in mechanism was not going all the way down, to the point where pressing any hard would have broken it and made me wonder if I was crazy. The instructions tell you to push it down but not how far, if it will snap down, etc. My fin fell out and now they need to send me a new one. 4) There is a lack of quantity and thought out placement on D rings. Maybe I got a dud. Hey RAVE let's get a replacement on the way!
