I've only had these for a few months, but I've already used them on a handful of projects and they have become indispensable. the Quick release clamps are definitely more versatile, and thus used a lot more, than the grip clamps, but overall a very good set for good value.

Sometimes you need and extra hand, but not an extra opinion on how to do something. These clamps work great! Put them where you need them to hold, the end. They don't fuss and they hold as long as you need them to.

I probably have seventy clamps of various styles from multiple manufacturers, most of which are heavier duty than these. I already had a set of these exact same clamps, as well as several other Irwin clamps of the larger sizes, and needed another set of these to clamp multiple access panel frames to my ceiling's drywall without crushing it. I was looking for just some of the smaller 6" clamps, but this set was such a great deal that I basically got over half of the included set for free (vs purchased individually). These work great for what they're supposed to be. They're not made for massive clamping pressure; instead, they're more to hold something in place pretty tightly, very quickly, with ease, and without damaging the clamped materials. In a lot of cases, these are all I ever need. In a few cases, I'll use these to get something set into place, and then I'll follow-up with a stronger clamp. Or, I'll use these to supplement the stronger clamps around borders, etc. I've been using these for years, and have never had any problems with any of them, so will definitely buy more when the time comes. ... show more

Took a chance and bought these on sale. I have used them on every thing from binding glued wood to depressing brake calipers on a regular basis for months. They are accurate/precise, and have not failed on me once. This things are sweet! Tip: these go on sale from time to time.
