It’s actually almost 71in tall, slightly under by one notch of the standard construction measuring tape. Great quality and firmness of wood, the back wall piece is very thin but it doesn’t matter as long as you place it against the wall, structure is mostly made of sides and the shelves. very nice and even color, could not find any small defects. panels gets heavy once you put them together so be careful. all tools included, took me 2 hrs bc im meticulous and making it perfect. only problem was panel #4 didnt have the hole drilled to fit into the other half but its easy to fix with a drill, the wood is drilled already so youre only making a hole by drilling the top layer of laminate that they put over the panel. or you could just use a knife and carve it out. might just be only my order that had this. overall good product and very worth the price than going to ikea. ... show more

So I did order this white bookcase for my bedroom because I have a ton of books and not much space to put them. I love the height and width of this is my room. Now I am leaving off one star because i was supposed to have this earlier this week but I was sent the wrong thing in the wrong color but luckily I was able to get a replacement at no extra charge and was able to send the other one back by UPS the very next day ... show more

These book shelves are amazing. I've purchased 2 now for my son's bedroom at seperate times. We decoded he needed a 2nd one several months later. The wood grain on them is super unique and very cool looking. They take a bit of time to put together, but all the parts and tools were there both times. It's a VERY heavy duty, sturdy shelf that looks high quality and even seems scratch resistant. We decided not to mount them to the wall and they are holding up without, just fine. I bought this to have more vertical storage space for homeschool books and DVD’s. I was hoping it would be deep enough to put two layers of DVD’s on each shelf, one behind the other, but it’s not. One layer fits very well though. That’s really my only complaint, I wish it were just a few more inches deep.
