The media could not be loaded. ASSEMBLY: completed solo (except mounting the top piece because it was too heavy to lift as a short person). It also gives instructions to assemble the top and bottom while on side and then lift it upright, but nah. total build time was about 4.5 hours, that includes taking breaks, getting distracted and I was just taking my sweet time. Instructions are very clear. Few quantity typos for how many pieces you’ll need in different steps but it was pretty obvious how many you’ll need. I cleaned all the pieces prior to assembling due to them being dusty and covered in styrofoam and box or wood shavings. FITMENT: doing this solo did make balancing some pieces a little challenging, however the screws fit so well in the prepped areas that it basically self aligned. Even the backboard slots aligned perfectly (pictured). I was skeptical about the drawers being aligned when putting the bars on but once I got them all together, the drawers went on smoothly and straight. Added picture of one of the bars not perfectly aligning with board (which is okay, it still latched and rolled on nicely). HARDWARE: I’d suggest having a tougher screwdriver because the one provided snapped from twisting a screw in on the first use. There’s an extra piece for most lettered pieces incase, mainly the screws. All of the screws were in great condition as well. Electric tools would be fine as long as you self screw it tight. Otherwise you risk cracking the wood. Though it is pretty tough. I screwed a lot of things pretty tight and heard a little creaking noise 😬but it held lol. MATERIAL: The boards are a pretty good material, sturdy and tough. everything came in great condition. The only thing I’m not a fan of is how the door is a gray toned white (pictured). It’s a different material with a smooth finish compared to the rest of the pieces which have a painted wood textured finish. NEGATIVES: The door doesn’t match the rest of the shelf/drawers material, it’s a lighter material compared to the rest. The top half is heavier than the bottom half. It’s held up so far but I’d be cautious when moving it. Base perimeter is 3 sides. The front and side boards touch the ground but the back doesn’t. I think that may only bother me and may not be the case for others. It leans a little being on carpet. Not sure why, I checked everything prior to butting the two halves together and everything was leveled but after mounting the halves, the level bubbler was a pretty off until I scooted the shelf all the way against the wall. This may be an issue with carpet, I’m not 100% sure but just be mindful of that. SUGGESTIONS/TIPS: sturdier screwdriver, make sure screws are centered and not lopsided when screwing pieces together to avoid off setting fitment. For the door magnet, center the screws in the holes. If it’s too far or too forward, the door will either not reach the magnet or stick out from the magnet being too far out. (Pictured). Putting the magnet on is several steps before putting the door on which is the last step. OVERALL: great shelf, highly recommend. This is the third time I’ve purchased a book shelf on Amazon and this one is the best so far.

Moving and assembling the bookshelf was quite a challenge—especially alone. The box was very heavy, and it took a lot of effort to drag it into my apartment. While the assembly wasn’t overly complicated, some steps clearly required two people, as the instructions suggested. Still, I managed to put it together by myself—though mostly by luck, since everything worked on the first try. If you’re tackling this yourself, I’d highly recommend getting help - it’ll make the job much easier. That said, the finished product feels sturdy and looks great, with plenty of storage space. I’ve neatly organized my books, records, and other items on the shelves, while the built-in drawers help keep smaller belongings tidy and out of sight. Overall, it’s a functional and stylish addition to my space.
