So far so good! This bookshelf is sturdy, easy to build, and looks wonderful against the other furniture we have in the room. I am using this bookshelf as both a display and a bookshelf, and there is a corner and space for everything. The price is amazing for how large and strong it is. The build was wonderful. I was able to put it together by myself, and only requested help in putting the shelf portion onto the storage space at the bottom, even though there were separate instructions to do it by myself if I needed that. It weighs quite a bit, and while moving it wasn't too hard, I would suggest assembly near where you plan to put it and not in a completely different room, as I did. I have a massive book collection that is ever-growing, so I may end up getting another one to go on the opposite wall.

IMPRESSED!

ASSEMBLY: completed solo (except mounting the top piece because it was too heavy to lift as a short person). It also gives instructions to assemble the top and bottom while on side and then lift it upright, but nah. total build time was about 4.5 hours, that includes taking breaks, getting distracted and I was just taking my sweet time. Instructions are very clear. Few quantity typos for how many pieces you’ll need in different steps but it was pretty obvious how many you’ll need. I cleaned all the pieces prior to assembling due to them being dusty and covered in styrofoam and box or wood shavings. FITMENT: doing this solo did make balancing some pieces a little challenging, however the screws fit so well in the prepped areas that it basically self aligned. Even the backboard slots aligned perfectly (pictured). I was skeptical about the drawers being aligned when putting the bars on but once I got them all together, the drawers went on smoothly and straight. Added picture of one of the bars not perfectly aligning with board (which is okay, it still latched and rolled on nicely). HARDWARE: I’d suggest having a tougher screwdriver because the one provided snapped from twisting a screw in on the first use. There’s an extra piece for most lettered pieces incase, mainly the screws. All of the screws were in great condition as well. Electric tools would be fine as long as you self screw it tight. Otherwise you risk cracking the wood. Though it is pretty tough. I screwed a lot of things pretty tight and heard a little creaking noise 😬but it held lol. MATERIAL: The boards are a pretty good material, sturdy and tough. everything came in great condition. The only thing I’m not a fan of is how the door is a gray toned white (pictured). It’s a different material with a smooth finish compared to the rest of the pieces which have a painted wood textured finish. NEGATIVES: The door doesn’t match the rest of the shelf/drawers material, it’s a lighter material compared to the rest. The top half is heavier than the bottom half. It’s held up so far but I’d be cautious when moving it. Base perimeter is 3 sides. The front and side boards touch the ground but the back doesn’t. I think that may only bother me and may not be the case for others. It leans a little being on carpet. Not sure why, I checked everything prior to butting the two halves together and everything was leveled but after mounting the halves, the level bubbler was a pretty off until I scooted the shelf all the way against the wall. This may be an issue with carpet, I’m not 100% sure but just be mindful of that. SUGGESTIONS/TIPS: sturdier screwdriver, make sure screws are centered and not lopsided when screwing pieces together to avoid off setting fitment. For the door magnet, center the screws in the holes. If it’s too far or too forward, the door will either not reach the magnet or stick out from the magnet being too far out. (Pictured). Putting the magnet on is several steps before putting the door on which is the last step. OVERALL: great shelf, highly recommend. This is the third time I’ve purchased a book shelf on Amazon and this one is the best so far.

For the price I feel the quality is excellent. Very sturdy. When moving it around, you can feel its pretty heavy. Which to me makes it feel like pretty decent quality wood. Easy assembly. Highty recommend.

so far it has been great. recently bought it. it was pretty easy to put together, and seems sturdy. looks really good next to our tv fireplace stand. look like they were a set. i would definitely buy or recommend to anyone.

This book shelf is a good value for the money. It is sturdy, easy to put together, and looks great. The only issue I had was it was missing some hardware but when I contacted the seller they got in touch with me right away and sent me the missing parts at no extra cost to me. They were wonderful to deal with and I'm so happy they were able to help because I love the shelf!

Easy build, everything was packed nice, everything lined up, and the door now seems to be the same color white as the rest of the shelf, in other reviews it didn’t match. Easy directions, took about 2 hours with no help, taking my time. I’d buy more furniture from this company

A bookshelf for people who can't stop buying books

Love this bookshelf!! I have a space between my bedroom door and closet that this bookshelf perfectly fits into. The shelving is solid and fits so much. I have a place for everything. And there's room above to add another shelving unit if I need it. There's no crappy cardboard on this. I do recommend having a second person, maybe a third, helping to put this together. You will need a bit of space to put the shelves together and time. It took me several hours to put together, but got easier as you went on and better understood the instructions.
