Description

An uninsulated nylon lining makes this outdoor boot by Irish Setter warm while maintaining breathability. Style, comfort, and performance all go hand and hand with this Wingshooter lace up boot from Irish Setter. It has a waterproof leather upper with moisture-wicking nylon linings, a shock-absorbing EVA footbed, and Goodyear welt construction for premium stability and durability. P.when('A').execute(function(A) { A.on('a:expander:toggle_description:toggle:collapse', function(data) { window.scroll(0, data.expander.$expander[0].offsetTop-100); }); }); Hunting isn't their hobby. It's their calling. It's all they were made to do. In sixty years, they've never lost focus. They've never followed anything but their instincts. They've never let up. They still live for the chase, pursuing innovation from dusk to dawn. They're in the fields, the blinds and the stands, long after the fair-weather crowd heads inside. • Best boots for me and worth the price
Size: 11 Color: Amber
2nd pair .Bought the same boots over a year ago. very comfortable, Need a little brake in time and they mold to your foot. True to size. Mabey cleaned and conditioned once or twice in that year time. wear them 6 days a week. and the leather holds up good, Wore the rubber sole smooth but didn't go through. Rubber sole is not slippery on tile. I'm a sheetrocker/painter and i bought these boots because of the rubber sole because when repairing bathroom ceilings i stand on tubs and they can be slippery. Took a bad fall with a regular type wedge sole. I love these boots and are worth the money, thats why I bought them again . hope this helps./ ... show more

  • Solid boot
These Irish Setter Wingshooters get the job done, no question. Broke in easy, super comfortable, and hold up strong even in the Maui heat and rain. Good grip on muddy ground, dry fast, and still look clean after a long day. Real solid boot — worth every penny.

  • Definitely worth the price I paid
Great boot, perform better than advertised, most comfortable boots out of the box definitely I have owned. I spent almost thirty years in a uniform, with my Danner Arcadia boots. I thought they were the best. Then I happened upon an Amazon deal for a pair of Red Setter, Wingshooter, boots for less than $100. Although never owning a pair, many friends and co-workers bragged of their Irish Setter boots. Since I purchased this pair I'm very impressed with the comfort and quality. My only complaint is that I can't confirm my Irish Setter boots are totally American construction. Not a snob, but obviously prefer to support America and it's workers. But must repeat these are nice boots. ... show more

  • Very impressed so far
I want to preface this review by saying that I am only in my second day wearing these boots, but so far I'm super impressed with them. The craftsmanship is really good, especially for the price point. The fit is right on. I actually went to my local Red Wing store to get fitted. I tried on several boots and they all felt good on me, but I liked the look of these the best. I would have bought them right then from Red Wing, but they were out of stock in my size for the style I wanted and were not able to get them within the time frame that I needed them, so I was glad to find them here. I would definitely recommend getting fitted by a professional before buying. I discovered that my Red Wing size was actually slightly bigger than what I had been buying. I am certain that being fitted first contributes to my enjoyment of and comfort in these boots. They fit me perfectly and right out of the box they feel like I have worn them for a while. In other words, they basically already feel like they are broken in and I only expect them to get better as I wear them. As a guy who owns many pairs of boots from several quality brands, I really have to give it up to Red Wing for the design of these Irish Setter Wingshooters. They are definitely quality boots from a quality brand. I can easily recommend them. I will update if anything changes. ... show more

  • Shoes
These shoes are very good; they are very comfortable and don't get wet inside—their leather is water-resistant.

  • Very comfortable boots
Size: 11 Color: Dark Brown
These boots are very breathable yet waterproof. The leather is super soft yet sturdy. The soles are of a material that is very comfortable and has high versatility making them great for not only hunting but general work as well. Really enjoying them year round.

  • Would never know it is imported.
I am rarely if ever compelled to write reviews. However, this boot deserves it. I needed a pair of field boots for fall hunting and general yard work and my old steel toes were shot. I shopped online for looking at several moc toe and smooth toe boots. I cannot justify $290 for USA Red Wings, or anything USA anymore (except LL Bean Maine boots... still the best made in USA deal out there..), so I accepted the fact that I would be buying something imported. I found a pair of Cabela's hunting boots on sale which I bought, then decided to pull the trigger on these as well. They arrived at the same time so I could do a side by side comparison. Two different animals, the Cabela's was more of a waterproof, winterized boot 9-10' tall, while the Wingshooter are 7", lined but not necessarily for winter. The Cabela boot was ok, but definitely has that "imported" faking it feel... especially in the bottom sole. As soon as I put the Irish Setters on, it was like stepping back in time. Yes, they are imported, but you would never know it. Feels like old USA boots used to feel. Excellent soles... fit was perfect for my wide duck feet (12EE)... and it felt broken in right from the get go. And they look good to. The Cabela's are boxed up and ready to return. I think I will buy another pair of Wingshooter's now just for price guarding, and I NEVER do that. They will get field tested hard next month on a week long backwoods deer hunt in Maine, but everything I have seen so far tells me they will be perfect. So I am back and adding to my original review. Best boots I have ever owned Period. I hunt in them. Work in them. Walk the dog for miles through woods and fields. Love them and the fact that Red Wing will refurbish them when needed just adds to the value. Second update. I just. bought my second pair of these Actually I bought the 808 9" version but sent them back as they were just too high on the shin, and uncomfortable to me. Exchanged for 12EE 7" pair like I had bought 2 years ago. Something was different. They were much tighter than the first pair I bought. I called Red Wing and they did say that the last mold has been changed recently. So I exchanged the 12EE for a 13EE. Perfect fit on width, but a tad long. I am a little disappointed. I am going to keep them, but I will shop around for my next new hunting boot in a couple years. Maybe the LL Bean Kangaroo. ... show more
