Not only to the black handles that clip the top to the bottom portion of the container come off easily; the part that holds the black handles on also easily break. It seems they broke in transit because they were in the bottom of the packaging. Despite the broken clasps, the bins were still functional and the lids fit snug. ONE OF THE BINS ARRIVED BROKEN AND A SECOND HAD A HANDLE IMMEDIATELY BREAK UPON ARRIVE. MY MAIN OBJECTION IS THE FLIMSINESS OF THE HANDLES WHICH ARE VERY PRONE TO BREAKING. I RECOMMEND GETTING A SET WITH SNAP ON LIDS, NOT HANDLED LIDS.
