I recently purchased the Atem X as I was concerned about the air quality, seeing as I live in the city. Although it was a little pricey, the quality and functionality make this purchase worth it! 1) Monitoring your Indoor Air Quality Remotely is HUGE The Atem X comes standard with an air quality sensor that monitors your AQI ( Air Quality Index), PM2.5 concentration, and CO2 concentration as well as the Temperature and humidity. You can view these readings remotely on IQAir's Air Visual App so when you're not at home and concerned about your indoor air quality, you can remotely control the Atem X to start purifying your air manually. Story Time: I was out and about the weekend after I had purchased my Atem X and noticed that my indoor air quality was at a whopping 150 the outdoor air quality is in the 60-80 range. I knew there was something wrong because the Air Visual App shows me the indoor and outdoor AQI in a side-by-side comparison. Long story short, my bad indoor AQI was a combination of my sister burning something in the kitchen, and my Central AC for the house being clogged up from a bad filter. Without this Atem X, I wouldn't have been able to act on the bad indoor AQI. With the touch of a button, I turned my Atem X on MAX and it cleaned the air quality right away! 2) Smart Mode is a game-changer! The Atem X has a smart mode that can adjust its fan speed based on your Air Quality. Smart mode has 3 different levels, Quiet, Balanced, and Max. I usually keep it on Max as it allows the unit to use all of the available fan speeds to clean your air as needed, which I recommend. 3) No oscillating fan feature, but Atem X's fan is better! I was kind of disappointed that this air purifier/ fan combo did not include an oscillating fan feature. However, once you start using the Atem X you realize that the way this system fans your area is superior to a regular oscillating fan. The Atem X blows air throughout your entire room/ space by increasing circulation with IQAir's flexible air rotation technology. Long story short it blows the air at an angle and the higher the fan speed, the more you feel it throughout the entire room vs. having to wait for the oscillating fan to hit you! ... show more

Great filtration and recommend for new parents! Soon to be mom and dad here. My husband and I were looking for an air purifier that could filter the the largest amount of space but wasn't totally terrible to look at. We came across the Atom X and really liked how sleek and modern it looks, (my husband even loved the packaging it came in lol) it goes very well with the space we intended for. We have a smart home and have air quality sensors all over the house, and we noticed that it’s been rating BETTER THAN EVER! My husband keeps checking the air quality sensors and he is just so impressed with how well this product is working. We even painted the baby room this week and stuck the Atem X in there and didn't smell the paint at all! Great purchase and will definitely be looking into getting one for my in-laws as well for when they watch the baby. If I had to say a con, it would have to be that it is rather large. But it makes sense, as it is able to filter such a large space. ... show more

We bought a HealthPro Plus during a bad wildfire season in SoCal. The IQAir system has really made a huge impact on our indoor air quality. We love it so much that we just bought an Atem X. This unit is beautifully designed with easy app control (a huge upgrade from the HealthPro Plus). It runs very quietly and I just have it on 24/7 for dust and pet dander control. Really high quality product, Swiss designed and made in Germany. It's the best investment for your health! ... show more

    • Bad customer support. Filter life low.

The pre-filter and carbon cartridges do not last anywhere near stated life. IQAir states on the Amazon listing 12 months for the pre-filter, but 18 on their own website. My pre-filter lasted 4.5 months at their recommended settings, which is neither 12 or 18 months. IQAir support just replied with a pre-made message and they took no action to actually address that my filter only lasted 4.5 months at their settings. 100 dollars for a prefilter every 18 months is a whole lot different than 100 dollars ever 4 months for reoccurring costs to use this unit. We'll see how long the carbon lasts, but if the pre-filter is any indication, those won't last 30 months either. I am very disappointed, as the unit does seem to work well, but false information, higher maintenence cost, and poor company customer support make this a bad buy. ... show more
