The embedded female nuts are M6-1.0 screw type... in case anyone is interested: had to figure it out by trial and error... using it for a shed and did not want kids hands going in with curiosity and encounter a metal fan blade... would be nice to have an option of a shield to crew on since a adapted a fan and not used one that directly attached to it ... show more

It wasn't an exact match to the plastic one, so it required some installation modifications, but it has worked flawlessly.
