Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this because traditional 1-gallon nursery pots are getting way too expensive. This flexible plastic grow bag works perfectly for my plants. It’s sturdy, holds its shape when filled with soil, and doesn’t overheat like black pots tend to do in Mississippi heat. My plants seem to thrive in these roots stay cooler, moisture retention is solid, and they’re super affordable. Will definitely be ordering more for my nursery setup. ... show more

They’re a bit smaller than anticipated but my pepper plants grow well in them. Definitely good value because of the volume of bags you get. Easy to move, thick enough to lift without tearing as well. The quality is fair as it’s stood up to the tropical climate thus far.

Convenient for plants to develop before transplanting to larger containers. Slit down the side, transplant and dispose of the bag. Tip: consider trimming the top of the bag off depending on the depth of your soil. Watering can nozzles easily knock the side of the bag over, which is frustrating.

    • I purchased some of these last year for tomato plants

I purchased some of these last year for tomato plants and they worked out terrific. Since I planted seeds Early I wanted a transition from the seed trays to a larger quantity of soil that could be moved easily to a protected area in case we had a late freeze. The bags sit flat when opened, were easy to fill, easy to water and the seedlings thrived. However, I do have one suggestion that makes the whole process so much easier. Get a clear packing tape dispenser, the kind with the two inch clear tape on a roll; available pretty cheap from Amazon. Before filling the bag fold down the top edge about an 1-1/2" then tape the fold down with the clear packing tape all the way around. Once you get the hang of it you can do a lot of bags reasonably quick. The tape makes the top of the bag a lot more rigid, easier to fill and much easier to water when the bag is upright. These bags will easily lash the season. Once the roots route have filled the bag The simplest way I have found to plant is take a razor knife to the opposite sides of the bag to open then lift out the rooted ball. ... show more
